Bad Day at DCA: Do you think it's worth a complaint?

Just curious, were you able to hear what the cast member told the plaid about the time that
Loki would appear? If so, that would be a good thing.
If you could not hear the cast member's response to the plaid, did you ask the cast member to reveal the k that was given to the plaid?

Regardless, I think you should let Disney know about your experience. Not just as a complaint but to make them aware them aware to be more discreet and sensitive in these types of situations.

I get that plaids do pay more and will get treated as a VIP, which they are paying for. But from the business perspective, you do want to keep everyone happy and in this case discreet would have been key how to handle this situation.

Feedback would be good in order to have cast members keep that in mind. But in reality, when I see a plaid and their guest, I already know what to expect from cast members and Disney itself.

Read your other issues and I would bring it up. If they don't know they can't start fixing things.

So sorry about your experience! That really sucks, especially when we spend so much money for tickets and then at the park. To be honest, I've wanted to complain because of a CM that I thought could have answered nicer. But I'm nervous to say anything because I worried that Disney will kick me out or revoke my tickets. I know for them to do that I'd probably have to make a big big scene, which I would never do. But I just have a fear if I say or complain about anything they'll kick me out.

Your fears are unwarranted. No one will ever get kicked out for making a complaint AS LONG AS you are not not rude, loud, cussing or otherwise acting in an aggressive manner that makes the cast member or other guests feel threatened. Just be polite, measured and reasonable and you’ll be fine.

I worked for Disney for 15 years at the Walt Disney Travel Company. The Guest Service manager told us that we need to thank guests when they bring up a concern because it provides an opportunity for awareness and improvement. The Guest Service manager was very animated and upbeat when she spoke to us. I believed her but who knows, maybe it was a lot of hooey.

I’m sorry you had such a bad experience! We were there on Sunday and had a really good day. I would definitely write a polite letter in your case. Both the cast member interaction and the weird wait time for the beer are unacceptable.
