bad Christmas commercials

[OK!]

Maybe it's me, but if I never again see the Overstock.com commercial set to the tune of Jingle Bells, I'll be very happy. That stupid song gets stuck in my head for HOURS after I see it.

I also can't stand the one for (I think) Bailey's that's nothing more than an extreme closeup of a woman's mouth while she's singing some Christmas song or other, erotically drinking Bailey's & licking ice cubes and the like. BLECH.

Are there any that drive the rest of you all insane?

I don't know if anyone on here remembers the old coffee commercial about where the little girl letting her brother in and he is telling her shhhhhh while making coffee. Anyways, they have remade it so he is home from Africa and the sister is a teenager. I liked the old commercial.


I HATE with a BIG passion the little kids singing about their sweaters. Is that Gap? I don't even pay attention.

I haaaaaaaaaaate that STUPID freaking jewelry commercial with the couple ice skating (JC Penney, maybe?) and the man can't skate and falls down and his lover skates to him where he's hanging onto a tree branch. He surprises her with a (rather lame) necklace and the camera cuts to her legs going wobbly and weak with love and emotion. VOMIT!! AND - the whole time "I got you babe" is playing. "They say we're young and we don't know, we won't find out untiiiil we grow..". Ughhhhh, they aren't even young! The guy looks like Robert Redford in the 80s! Please!

Hate it.

I mute this one every time. I hate the song in it's original form, and this one is even worse. And I can't even figure out what it has to do with these 2 middle aged people.............

I actually dont mind the Folgers one. The one I cant stand that is not Christmas related is the phone one where all you see are lips attached to a phone and talking then the woman comes and picks up the phone and her mouth goes back in place. ewwww creeps me out every time!!

I have a new ad that gives me the creeps. It is one with a pretty little girl dressed in red singing Santa Baby. It ends with her coming into a room with a little boy looking bored under a Christmas tree. He jumps up and gives her a white stuffed animal. This ad is just wrong. That song has a sexy vibe to it that doesn't seem right for a little girl. And is the boy supposed to be her brother? Somehow I just don't think this song is about brother/sister love and its just as bad to think of such a young child having a boyfriend.
