I Promise You Won't have to Wear Another Dress!
We catch our bus back to the resort, Pizza Box on my lap! People eyeing it probably wondering - "Why such a big Pizza for the two of them!" My biggest fear now is remembering so many posts how Mousekeeping threw out boxes! Where to store it without it being harmed or thrown out! And also so as not to leave it behind! Have decided that the best place is in the night stand where fortunately fits beautifully and hopefully will not bother Mousekeeping!
By this time it is late in the afternoon and our ressies are for 8:00 p.m. No worry about being hungry for an early dinner our lunch will definately take us thru until "Spirit of Aloha"!
We head down to the pool to try to work off some of that lunch! As we get there the clouds start rolling in. Here comes the afternoon showers! I tell DD we'll stay until they tell us to leave but the clouds just keeping rolling on by! The sun comes back out and it was a lovely ending to our lovely afternoon!
We head up and get ready for Spirit! My plan was to wear our matching dresses in order to get a beautiful picture. DD has other plans. She figured she could talk me out of it but as they say, "Mother knows how to work around it!" We finally compromise and I allow her to borrow my MM Jacket!
We have some pictures taken around the resort and head over to the bus stop. We are advised the best way to get to the Poly is to take the bus to MK and then take the Monorail over. The bus arrives within minutes and there are only five on the bus. One woman asks the driver the best way to the Contemporary, then the driver proceeds to ask where the rest of us were off to, well she looked at us and just said "POLY", and the other couple were off to the Poly also. The driver asked if it we would mind being dropped off at the Contemporary? DUH! We have a great pic with DD in front of the Bus with "VIP CASTMEMBER" on the front! The Magic continues!
We are early so we check out the shops and of course, look for pins! We take the Monorail over to the Poly and take a quick trip around the place! Have only seen the resort from the Monorail and have heard all the nice things about it but it's not really to my liking, too much traffic! And am surprised at just how small the gift shop is! But not small enough for DD to find something to buy!
We head outside toward the Spirit area and are greeted with the customary "Lei" and get in line for our picutre. There is a family reunion going on and their picture was fabulous! I hope ours looks as good! We line up and wait. We chat with the people in line and as it turns out the couple next to us is celebrating their 50th Anniversary! We end up sitting beside them. They at their table for two and ours. Our table is up front but I have a pole but let DD get the better seat.
The show is corny, but enjoyable. DD seemed to like it until we see another show later that week! The food is edible but my idea of roast chicken is crispy skin, not soggy! The rest of the meal is good but the best part is the waiter keeps bringing me wine!
The best part of the show is the Fire Dancer! We enjoy our evening and go back to the resort. The only problem we encounter is the fact that the parks are closed and we have to take the bus to DTD along with the rest of the people at "Spirit"! Thank goodness we made a pit stop before heading out! Long trek back!
It's late and all I can think about is how I'm gonna get DD up for Princess Storybook Breakfast and whether or not the wine is gonna give me a headache
, the next morning!
It's off to LaLa Land and Pleasant Dreams for the Magic has finally arrived! After such a glorious day could it get any better? Time will tell!
