BAD BAD Dream

I had a dream that we were driving to the airport and heading to Disney. We got to the airport and were asked to provide passports. I don't have a passport. They allowed the kids, my hubby and mom through the gate. I had to wait and speak to a customs official. ***????

I had one that I got on the airplane on my way to Disney and realized that I had left my passports for everyone at home in my bedroom.

Maybe there is something in the water here in Waterloo causing these passport dreams. :rotfl:

Since I fly a lot, I often have document/airport/airplane dreams. Often I find myself at the wrong airport/wrong day/wrong time and I always miss a flight. Often I don't know where the flight is to, even! :)

I had a dream about Disney last week as well but mine involved getting to WDW w/o any ADR's:scared1:
I bet the next time you go to WDW you will double and triple check your passports.

This panicky passport story had such a great ending and that is why I love Disney!!!

Two years ago my husband, myself and our two young daughters stayed at the Contemporary for a week. It was my 40th birthday and I decided to splurge!!! We slept in a little too late on our last morning there so we were rushing around to get everything packed for the Magical Express....note to self...pack the night before and get out of bed on time!!! So I was rushed and I clearly remember taking our passports out of the safe but then one of my girls distracted me and I must have put the passports down on top of the safe.

We get downstairs and the Magical Express driver reminded me that I should have been downstairs earlier...yikes! So we're on the bus and I'm trying to relax after our hectic morning and I just can't relax. I think I knew I forgot something but didn't know what. As we're driving to the airport the thought of "where did I put those passports" entered my mind and I started getting an uneasy feeling because I couldn't remember where I put them. I remembered having them in my hands after I took them out of the safe but after that it was a blank.

To shorten a long story, we get off the bus at the airport and I tell my husband I need to look through our bags for "something". He knew better than to ask what specifically I was looking for! I couldn't find them of course because they were back in the hotel room. Luckily we had 4 hours until our plane left so we had time. I seriously thought about getting in a taxi and going ALL the way back to the Contemporary and back to the airport. But I decided to call the Contemp's front desk to see if they could check the room. Thanks to speedy service, the housekeeper found the passports soon after we checked out (thanks to fast and efficient housekeeping services!) and brought them to the housekeeping manager. Here's the best part....the manager actually sent an employee in a Contemporary vehicle (with the passports) to meet me at the airport!!! He asked me what I looked like and what terminal and airline I was at. I just couldn't believe that level of service!! I tipped the driver, the manager and the housekeeper each $20 because I was ssssssssoooooo grateful!!!!!! Would all the Disney resorts (moderate and value) do that?? I don't know and I don't know if the offsite hotels/motels would do that. I hope so because we can't afford to stay at a deluxe resort again! But then again, next time I will know to be better organized so I never have to go through all that again!!!!! Because of my mistake, a bad situation turned into the best possible outcome (we made it on our flight) because of some wonderful Disney employees!!! :cheer2:

P.S. My husband remained amazingly calm all through this situation with no freaking out!

We were once on our way to Disney but driving....we were halfway to the border before we realized we had forgotten our passports...had to go back home and get them then drive back...thank goodness we only live 1 1/2 hours from the border - can't imagine what would have happened if we were further away.

ack I had the missed flights dream last night, I was with my sister and DH, and somehow forgot what time we were leaving, asked sister and she said 9:30... well that was apperently the landing time... all these things kept happening, it was really screwed up!

I forget stuff all the time but I think the worst was 2 years ago we were driving to WDW and had been on the road for about 3 hours. I suddenly realized that I had not locked my bedroom window. I knew there was no way we were going back but I worried about that for the rest of that day.

Would all the Disney resorts (moderate and value) do that??

Well we were at POP and had checked our luggage so we could go for breakfast as our ME time wasn't until 1:20. We finished breakfast at O'Hana's at 11:30. We had a couple of snack credits left to use so DS, SiL and myself ran into MK to use them while everyone else (there was 18 in total) headed back to POP. We waited 45 minutes for a bus and almost ended up missing our ME (DH was panicked). Dh had picked up are checked carry on's (that were all neatly packed in our double stroller when we dropped them off). Little did we know that they removed our electronics bag and put it in a cage, DS asked DH quickly about the bag and DH assured him it was there since everything else was as left. When we got to the airport and gathered everything from under the bus it wasn't there. We phoned the resort and they had the bag and said they would send it out with the next ME bus driver to drop off. Well DH and DS waited. They waited long enough that I took the other kids through security and boarded the plane. The stewerdess came over and asked if we were expecting them and I said yes:idea:. I had phoned them several times at this point and told them that they needed to hurry up, we're boarding now, get over here, ect:rolleyes1. Well about 5 minutes later the stewerdess came over and said the flight is closed so they will not be getting on board. Just as she finished saying this they walked in. They never did get the electronic bag (the ME driver took it to lost luggage :scared1: which also unfortunately contained our van keys. DH and DS recapped how they got to sprint through the airport, an employee listened to there tale and let them head through employee securtity bypassing the line and run to find the flight. They had just closed the door and the first person said the flight was closed and the second said let them on there entire family is on board. They were nice enough to let them on.
Now were can laugh at the fact that we arrived home after this ordeal in a snow storm with no keys (we live a three hour drive from the airport.) My brother was nice enough to drive the spare keys to us. The kids got to sleep in an airport and eat vending machine food for supper. We made it home 12 hours after our flight departed (it's a two hour flight).
They did mail us the bag and it's contents. It arrived about two week later. Three weeks later we got a bill for $550 for duty on our package. We phoned disney and she checked the wrong box for shipping so she assured us it would be okay to just not pay it and than the bill would come back to them and they would straighten it out. It's been a year and half and we'ver never heard anything else so I'm assuming it is all good.
