We have done just about every character meal with the kids over the years but these two.

Any thoughts on which to do over the other?

1900 park fare has different character meals, depending on time of day.
we had the character dinner which was really very nice, both the food and the characters - cinderella's evil step mother and step sisters - who are a hoot....really funny....and cinderella and her prince...

We have done the BBQ and both Bfast and Dinner at Park Fare. We would choose Park Fare hands down. Of course the "we" includes a DD6 - so it may depend on your children and the ages.

The BBQ was odd to us and we did not enjoy it at all. The food that sits outside, the entertainment that removed his boot while people ate, etc. Just not our thing. YMMV

Both look wonderful but I do LOVE The Fort .. can't wait to see my grandkids out dancing with Mickey and The Gang.

We've done MBYBBQ and both breakfast and dinner at Park Faire. Loved them both! Great character interaction at both...just depends on who you want to see. BBQ is typical picnic food with wine and Mickey bars for dessert (at least when we went last.). Good fun! Western show was great. However...I love those stepsisters. Now, since I can't see them in the Electric Parade (sniff!), I suppose Park Faire would give you the best interaction with them. They do meet by the castle, but that's very unpredictable. Breakfast gives you the Mad Hatter (always funny) and Alice, Pooh, Tigger and Mary Poppins (the "across the pond" bunch) The food at Park Faire is great...some unique, like the Strawberry Soup (YUM! :cloud9:). IMHO, there is no "wrong" answer, just the right answer for you. Enjoy!!

Depends on what you are looking for - character/type of meal. I love the BBQ. The food is ok, but my daughter dances the entire time she is allowed on the dance floor and it is so much fun for her. That is why I go. I personally like the outdoor setting at fort wilderness. We really enjoyed the step sisters and mother at 1900. Seeing Prince Charming was cool too.

Well, they're two completely different things. Depending on the age of your kids and what you are going to want to eat may help you decide.

MBYBBQ is an outdoor seating under a pavilion with an all you can eat picnic style food like dogs, burgers, chicken, ribs, mac & cheese, caesar salad, baked beans, etc. Plus unlimited Mickey ice cream bars. Alcoholic beverages are also included. Kids can dance on stage with Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, and more. It's a ton of fun for kids. But as they start to get older, you'll find that the BYBBQ won't appeal to them as much.
If your kids are still young, I'd do the BBQ before they get too old and lose interest.

Cinderella's evil step mother and step sisters are not to be missed though it's not guaranteed they'll be there which is total BS. I'd highly suggest taking video when meeting with them. They are that good.
