We're trying to decide between the two. Can anyone throw in their experiences or opinions?

thanks!

We've done both and prefer HDDR. You get characters at BYBQ, but there isn't really any interaction. It is very cute and worth doing once. Although the food isn't anything special. HDDR is a show that most any age will enjoy. The service is great, as is the food and show. :)

Never done the barbecue, but have done HDDR and we loved it! We are going again in Sept and can't wait!!! Great food, entertainment, and atmosphere! I can't say enough good things about it! :)

We've done both and I prefer HDDR.

We liked the BBQ, and it was worth doing, but HDDR is MUCH better, IMHO.

HDDR is hokey enough to keep both the younger kids, and the adults entertained. The only ones who, I think, really don't get a big kick out of it are the tweens and teens. They're "too cool" for it, in most cases.

Absolutely loved HDDR! DDs were 5 and 7 last time we went. My mother is in early 60's. Don't know who had the most fun! Really does appeal to all ages. You won't experience another show anything like it at WDW. Food is excellent also! A definite must see!

We love both. We did the Barbecue 2 weeks ago with a 2 yr old, 10 month old, 2 25 yr olds, 4 30 yr olds, and 2 60 yr olds. Everyone had a blast. You have to really get into the dancing and activities. I thought the food was pretty good, but it was barbecue. truly I didn't have a lot of time to focus on the food as my kids wanted to get out on the floor and dance. The Hoop Dee Doo Review is also a lot of fun. It depends what your looking for in the experience.

If you want to get up and dance go to the Barbecue.

If you want to sit and be entertained go to the Review.

Honestly, we like both and when we go back in May we are doing the Review Friday night and the Barbecue on Saturday night.
