We ate at the Trail's End for Thanksgiving this past year and really enjoyed it. We weren't staying at FW, and were taking our "break day" on Thanksgiving, so we swam, had Thanksgiving Day brunch at the offsite vacation house, then we went to the Grand Floridian for a family photo shoot and then rode the boat over to the Fort.
At FW, we did the pony rides and let the kids play before we ate dinner. It was a great way to spend Thanksgiving. Very rustic and homespun! On our way over to the pony rides, I heard the Backyard BBQ going on, and it sounded like great fun!
I think you will be happy with any of the choices at FW: Trails End, HDDR, or Mickey's Backyard BBQ. You can even top off the night at the campfire with the movie, or with a lovely carriage ride. Have a great time! We sure did!
