** Backwards Living ***

I want to live my next life backwards.

You start out dead and get that out of the way.

Then you wake up in an old age home feeling better every day.
You get kicked out for being too healthy; go collect your pension, then,
when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day.

You work 40 years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement.

You drink alcohol, you party, you're generally promiscuous and you get
ready for High School.

You go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, you have no
responsibilities, you become a baby, and then...

You spend your last 9 months floating peacefully in luxury, in spa-like
conditions; central heating, room service on tap, larger quarters every
day, and then... you finish off as an %rg#sm.

I rest my case.

You know, dd shared a great book with me that sort of has this premise. When you die, you go to a place that is a lot like the Earth except you don't get older, you get younger. Once you are a tiny baby again, you float down the river and are reborn back on Earth and repeat the whole process. It's a really interesting book.

The title is Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin.

I remeber a "Red Dwarf" episode along this line. Life is going back to the GNAB GIB (Big bang backwards). It was interesting. You undrank, and uneat food. The part where the charachter went to the bathroom was rather interesting.
