backup log question

Hello eveyone! I've asked this question in the past, and for whatever reason, cannot find the answer! The following snippet appears in my backup log (hundreds of times each backup) and I'm wondering why? If I recall correctly, Groucho said it was from temporary files that helped with the thumbnail viewing, and that he either deleted or disabled them on his system:confused3 I would love to do this as I hate seeing the backup log look like this!

C:\Doucments and Settings\HP_Owner\My Pictures\whatever the file name was\Thumbs.db ----or \zbThumbnail.info Not Supported/File skipped (backup of hidden files and folders is not supported)

Any help!?
TIA and Blessings,

Thumbs.db is a file containing thumbnails for all of the picture files in the folder. Windows automatically creates it when you put 1 or more picture files into a folder. If you delete it, I believe that windows will make another one. It's not something that you need to backup. If you tell windows not to make them, it won't but it will take longer to display the thumbnails when you browse to a directory. Here is a link that might help.

Thumbnail.info is made by Canon's Zoom Browser. I guess that it does the roughly the same thing as thumbs.db, but I'm not certain.

Another option would be to tell your backup software to ignore them. How you do that depends on what backup software you use.

I have a Maxtor One Touch 4 Plus - any idea how to tell it to ignore these - or is it really irrelevant and I just need to get over the need to have a clean report page?:rotfl:
