Backstage Magic Tour

I'm going to be in Orlando for a conference and have the chance to take the backstage magic tour on the company's dime. Anyone who has done it, is it worth the time? I'm assuming so, but want to make sure I'm not practicing bad thinking here.

I did it back in 1999 and I wish I could afford to do it again. I saw and learned so much and Im sure they must update with time too. It was $200 a piece and its one of the few things I left thinking wow I got my moneys worth with this. Im a tight wad and rarely ever say that too.

I just booked it this afternoon and am now very excited to do it. The company offered us a gang of different activities (golf, spa, Cirque de Soleil, tour of Kennedy Space Center) and this one..I'm choosing this one and then paying my own way to stay at Epcot for some fun and Illuminations.

Do it!

I took the Backstage Magic tour in March... you REALLY go backstage, in lots of different areas.

You'll see hiring and costuming areas, animatronics behind the scenes, lots of support areas- where out of season props and decorations live, the florist operation, shops where ride vehicles are repaired, the utilidors under the Magic Kingdom. You'll see and learn about TONS of little details.

And a yummy family style lunch at Mama Melrose's is included mid day.

I did the tour last July and loved it!!!

I am trying to choose another tour for this summer.

You won't regret it, wish I could do it on the company's dime, it would be the only way to improve the tour.
