DH and I took the Epcot Hidden Treasures of the World tour and loved it. For our next trip (Sept 04) we are considering the 7hr Backstage Magic Tour. but it's a bit pricey at $199 pp. Have you taken this tour and was it worth the $. Also, what other tours would you recommend?

ncbyrne, I went on the Backstage Magic Tour 2 years ago and it was literally one of the most memorable moments I have ever experienced at Walt Disney World. Yes, I know that the price of the tour is $199 but it is well worth it. I don't want to spoil too much since there are a lot of surprises on the tour but I will give you a brief synopsis of what the tour includes. You visit three out of the four theme parks during the tour, Epcot, Disney Studios, and the Magic Kingdom. At Epcot you go behind the scenes at the American Adventure, Body Wars, and The Living Seas. At the Disney Studios you go behind the scenes of Fantasmic, and the Costume Designing Department. You also have a family style lunch at Mama Melroses Italian Ristorante while at the Disney Studios. At the Magic Kingdom you visit the design and construction warehouse that is responsible of all Disney World attractions (very cool!!). And you also visit the Utilidoors which is below the Magic Kingdom. You are probably thinking that I gave away too much information about the tour but there were a lot of surprises that I did not spoil for you. Hopefully, this will help you on your decision to experience this wonderful tour.

I agree with everything TowerTerror said. I really enjoyed it. Took Keys to the Kingdom which I also liked.

I liked this tour so much I did it twice! It is a wonderful tour with MANY surprises. You never know what you are going to see. The tour guides are incredibly knowledgeable and lunch is fantastic.

Go for it!

i did this tour in may and it was fantastic:D i guess they must alter the tour a little bit from time to time though, we did not go behind the scenes at Fantasmic or Living Seas, like TowerTerror did , but we did see other places not mentioned , we don't want to give away all the secrets though;) i think the money is well worth it. i saved with an AP discount, if you have an AP ask for this discount when you book, i believe it was 15% off.

This was my very first tour and have been on 7 subsequent ones on next 7 trips. It set the tone for me to want to always do a tour each trip. I need to book my one for Dec soon. It is great, you love it. Make sure to get the discounts available.

Here are some more reviews.

I just did the tour last week and loved it. As Katypop said, we didn't hit either of these things either.

I also have now added two tours (Keys to the Kingdom and the Holiday Tour) to my list of must dos.

We were very lucky. I understand the tour can be up to 20 people and we were just 6. It allowed for great interaction between us and the CM. It was also nice to have people (except 1) who are as Disney Crazied if not more so than me on the tour.

Enjoy
Sandy
