We recently returned from our wedding/honeymoon trip where we did Keys to the Kingdom. We liked it so much we are considering doing Backstage Magic on our return trip to the World in December.

Has anyone done this? I'm concerned that the MK portion maybe too similar to KTTK?

Thanks for the help:goodvibes

Not done this one yet, primarily for the same reasons you're not sure either as I heard that the MK portion is condensed version of the KTTKT but would love to hear first hand if that's true.

we did this tour in 2008 and were a bit disappointed to be honest.
loved the MK bits but felt they were wayyyy too short, spent an hour in the back of american adventure, its cool back there but not enough for an hour or so, and almost an hour and a half in the laundrette.
we loved the lunch and it was cool having our own tour guide for the day, but not worth the money in my opinion. stick to KTTW :)

DH did this in May - and he didn't really enjoy it this time. Wouldn't recommend it.

Try Undiscovered Future World instead - we really enjoyed that last year and it is a really good value for money :goodvibes

We did it last summer and enjoyed it. The MK portion covered the service tunnels, backstage parade area etc etc.

We didnt spend more than 10 minutes in the American Adventure so I suppose the itinerary varies depending on circumstances - but I would say there was a lot of time spent at the laundry.

Lunch was at AKL and was okay. Enjoyed teh behind the scenes bits at Epcot and DS as well.

I would say it would be worth it as only the end of the day is at MK.

Could somebody explain more about this tour as I've not heard much about it. Would :lovestruc to get more info :thumbsup2

Hrrm, ok, so seems it's a bit of a lucky dip with what you get for the MK portion then. Either all new, or a bit of a combo with what they have on the Keys tour.

i'm planning on taking this and the undiscovered future world next month...(assuming they're not booked up when i get there)..

i'll try to post a mini report

imho, youve done what you need to see. its good , but not that good . to pay out again for a disney institute tour would be a waste of momey. sorry
