Backpacks with warranties

I have a Yak Pak. At the time it was a whole lot cheaper in stores than Jan Sport or anything else. I paid like $20 for it, and it has a lifetime warranty. I used to go through at least 3 or 4 backpacks a school year, but this has lasted me a year of over stuffing it as my carry on and camping, as well as books.

L.L. Bean. Their products generally hold up well, and if they don't, they stand by their product.

Both of my kids have Bean backpacks- DS12's is 3 years old, and DS16's is 2 years old. They carry many pounds of books back and forth to school, and so far so good!

My DH bought a pair of L.L. Bean rugged shoes in November, and the seam along the sole blew out of them this week. He brought them back to our L.L. Bean store and they replaced them with a brand new pair, no questions asked.

LL Bean! The zipper broke on my DD's deluxe rolling backpack that was several years old. I shipped it to them, and they sent me a brand new one, a retail value of $90. They also paid for the return shipping!

What you want to look for is a backpack that will hold up first and then have a warranty. Lands End used to be good but I have noticed their quality has gone down hill. Yes, the warranty is nice and they will replace it, but do you really want the hassle of getting a replacement every other month? The last Land's End backpack I bought broke before school even started.

I would try the LL Bean.

we live fairly close to the MOTHER STORE of BEANS>...when my 42 and 40 year old kids were in middle school we were sick of buying them at the local stores..so we bought the LL bean backpacks...can I just say that they followed them to highschool and then they got the college ones later and we are using their middle school ones when we go hiking or Disney....they are still in fantastic condition...these are OLD

LL Bean. I bought my dd one in kindergarten and she is in 9th grade now. It still looks perfect! Its also been used as her carryon for extensive travel around the world during that time. I'm so glad I didn't buy her a cheap one with some cartoon character on it, lol.

I have the same Jansport backpack that I bought in junior high, I am now 31 so it is close to 20 years old and going strong
