Backpacks on rides at SW/BG

Can you bring a small backpack on rides at SW and BG? (we will not be doing any of the coasters that go upside down LOL) I know at US, you had to store bags in lockers for a lot of the rides. tia

Yes I have seen them tell guest no bags when getting in line for the rides. Also even the kiddie rides have a small storage cubbie that you have to put your bag in or hang it. There are lockers right by the big rides that you can use. I don't know the cost but they take quarters to use.

I was told by every ride attendant to store by bag in a locker. I have a very small bag that hangs across my body and I have never had to put it in a locker at the other parks I had been to (DW & US) however at BG and SW it was a no go. The lockers were only 50 cents so not a huge deal. The cubies at the ride were ok, lots of people used them for hats, glasses and such but I would not want to chance it with money or phones.

Was about to post my own thread, but then I saw this one.

Does a fanny pack count as a bag that must be left in a locker?
(At the Six Flags we've been to you can leave a fanny pack on, but must remove any type/size of backpack. I couldn't find this info on SW or BG websites.)

Just trying to figure out if we be better off going completely bag free. DH could fit the camera in his pocket, but I would have to make sure I plan for some outfits with pockets to hold my phone and some money in case we split up.
