i know that I have seen this somewhere here, but God knows that I can not find it. What is the best way to carry things into the parks? Tickets, tissues, money, keys, phones? I remember that it was not a popular thing to bring an actual backpack, but there was a website to some other type of bags.

Any help would be great! :wave2:

It really is all on personal prefernce. A good site to see a lot of different types of bags is ebags.com. Some people swear by fanny packs while others cannot be without their backpacks.

Use whatever you feel comfortable with. If you feel that you can fit everything into your pockets, go with that. Personally, I have used both the fanny pack and backpack and see the merits in each. It really depends on how much stuff you want to carry to the parks.

I use a Le Sportsac mini backpack. This is the first year I'll be without a diaper bag!!!!! I cheat though as we have a double umbrella stroller with two baskets underneath so I still pack a beach bag with all the "extra" in it.

For me, it depends on what I need with me. Usually when I go to DL I just carry my regular purse--it's large and I can fit a water bottle and sunscreen in it just fine. I wear it across my body so it's a little easier to carry. I generally tie a sweatshirt around my waist (at DL we need them in the evenings, even during the summer) When I took my neice and nephew to DL, I used a backpack because I needed extra clothes for them plus more space for water bottles. When I went to WDW I carried a backpack. I didn't know what I needed there (I didn't know that in late April one did not need a sweatshirt in the evenings), but even when I realized that extra clothes weren't really neccessary, I still used the backpack because I bought 1.5 liter water bottles at the resort store most mornings (at $3.50 you get a whole lot more water for the money than the 24oz bottles at $2.50--and I don't mind it not being cold), plus carried a Pal Mickey (who went in the backpack for thrill and wet rides).

I just purchased the "Titan" Lumbar Pack (fanny pack) from ebags. It is made by High Sierra. It is very nicely sized at 9.5"x6.5"x4" and has two pockets for water bottles. I will be trying it out on my trip in August.

I just bought a sling backpack because I have two kids still in diapers

I will put wallet and tickets in my fanny pack, but I didn't want to carry a diaper bag so I bought the sling backpack. It is smaller than a regular backpack, goes over one shoulder, and has several different compartments and outside pockets for a bottle of water and a cell phone!

I looked at Eddie Bauer, Target and a couple of other places, but I liked the one at Walmart the best! It had 3-4 different ones to choose from and the only ones with bottle holders on the outside.

Its by Baggallini and it is great!;) Its designed by a Flight Attendant, and you can carry your Cell Phone, Pen, Credit cards, Tickets, and Maps.::yes:: You can wear it 3-4 different ways, as a fanny pack, on your belt, or across the front of you.::yes:: NO MORE FANNY PAK for me!

The bigger one is 39.99 thru ebags.com. save 20% TODAY.::yes:: The smaller one is 29.99.;)

I bought a samsonite camcorder soft sided nyon rectangular bag ( walmart, 14.99) with straps that twist and lock into either shoulder or waist mode. worked great, fit my bulky slr and everything else we needed, has 2 zippered compartments 1 outer/1 inner plus the larger zipped inner compartment, a flap to keep out water from the inner ones\

we carried the camera and film, a brush, bandaids, a few granola bars, ect in the large compartment as well as the occasional pin or small purchase, our vouchers, room cards and passes in the inner small zipped one and schedules and stuff we didn't really care if we lost/ could easily replace in the outer one

it easly fit by our side on every ride and was secured by the same thing we were secured by.

even with all the junk it was convenient but by the last few days we skipped taking the camera and just stuffed everything in our pockets or my little epcot purchased shoulder 4x6 fabric envelope like bag

I really like these, but I need something that will hold a digital camera too. (and water repellant) If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear.

Thanks!

i don't work for samsonite:) however the inside of my bag is padded and has a little fold out divider thing so you can put a smaller camera in it . I have a larger canon rebel slr which fits with room to spare with the divided folded flat against the side. i take a ziploc bag to put the camera in inside the bag for wet rides, for normal rain and stuff, even splash mountain, I haven't needed to, everything has stayed dry, I think cause of the flap that covers all the inner zippers( goes over the entire top and down the entire front and velcros) rapids ride i haven't taken it on yet so i would be safe & put the camera and film and paper money ect, in a baggie till i am sure it will stay dry.

the entire bag is (guessing) about 6x10 " rectangle and very light weight ( except now when I am using it to collect all my spare change for next trip!)
