Backpacks at the park?

Hi, all!
I know that you can rent a locker to store your stuff, but what do you do with things like a backpack when on the rides? For example, do you bring it along with you on Splash Mountain and hope it doesn't get wet? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I had a mini backpack. I carried it on everything except the Keys to the Kingdom tour.

I have always carried (as does my DH) a back pack on all the rides - If your back pack is water resistant it should do fine on SM - But I always hold mine w/ my legs off the bottom of the ride floor so it doesn't sit in water.

On KAli they have a place to put the Backpack so it doesn't get wet. We had no problems last year...but we used small backpacks (child size)
