Backpacks at Target

We got 2 backpacks (with wheels) at Target this weekend for $5.24 each. They were with the back to school clearance items. I don't remember the brand, but they are the ones with the little animals clipped to them - a monkey and a frog. They will be perfect carry-ons for the girls. I like the fact that you can carry them or pull them through the airport.

I noticed at ours today that they had some really nice heavy duty Swiss Gear backpacks for $12. I REALLY don't need any more but they are such a good price!

My parents just bought one for my son & daughter today. They are adorable & the price is too good to pass up.

I passed on the backpacks (drowning in old usable backpacks here) but I snagged the last Embark plain colored lunch tote for 74 cents! And some Tony Hawk designs composition notebooks for 62 cents each. My kids use them for journals, and they have drawn in them already.

I was a little disappointed in our Target store. The Swiss Gear bags this year weren't nearly as nice (or big) as the one I bought there a couple of years ago, and they were priced a lot higher. The last one I bought (for $12) was super heavy duty, and perfect for hiking or carrying a laptop, with a ton of other pockets for organizing everything else. This year they didn't even get any like that in (not even early, when they were full price) - don't know if the company is trying to save money by making lower quality products, or if Target just didn't order any of the higher quality ones.
