Hi All,
Just wondering what most people prefer on their visits to the parks. Are you going to use a backpack, a purse, a belt-bag or what? I think I'll go with the backpack. Leaves the hands free, is comfortable, and carries everything!!!

DH usually plays mule and hauls the backpack around - but this year, since the kids are older and we don't have to bring as much into the parks - I am using one of those "healthy back" backpacks from LLBean. It only goes over one shoulder and is very lightweight.

Whatever I carry, it has to be big enough to hold my resort mug. I like to have coffee on the bus ride to the parks, then wash it out in the girl's room and throw it in my pack. Then I can use it for water during the day!

We never carry alot, so we just put in our camera bag.

We've always gone to WDW during the cold, slow season and so bring a backpack for our extra clothes (jackets and water-ride items). I also usually end up wearing a fanny pack. The backpack is also nice for carrying frozen water bottles so that we don't have to buy drinks during the day. Debby

Me and my DD (age 11) carry our fanny packs, that way our hands are free, and they are easier to take on rides, b/c you don't have to take them off, they adjust to fit just about anywhere.

We take along mini bottles of water that fit in our packs. have fun!!!!

I carry a purse everywhere and would feel adrift without one so I use a purse and a diaper bag.

Although the girls have outgrown the diaper bag it is just the right size for a change of clothes and some water.:earsboy:

What I do is also, take all the extra credit cards (stores, etc) and seriously lighten up my wallet.

We each have our own fanny pack. That way no one is left lugging all the stuff in one. We used to have a back-pack but no more. Although my dh does say that he isn't really comfortable with a fanny pack!! Says it puts his masculinity at risk!! But, he says it's better than a back-pack.

DH and I both wear large fanny packs. He took thinks it's an afront to his masculine nature, BUT...it's a whole lot easier than a back pack, and still leaves hands free. WDW is the ONLY place he'd ever even consider wearing one...but since most people wear them, it's ok. :)

We use a backpack. I like to be ready for all possible situations so I tend to bring a lot of stuff. It all fits in the backpack. My fiance and I take turns carrying it. It is really nice when it's not your turn to carry it! We had no problem fitting it in all the rides with us. We just looped one of the straps around a leg when going on the roller coasters to make sure we didn't lose anything.

a backpack for snacks, drinks, purchased items, ponchos, etc. and my wife does the beltbag for her camera and little items. Not that much trouble and sure comes in handy!

I HAVE ALWAYS CARRIED THE BACKPACK DURING ANY TRIP WE TAKE. IT USUALLY STARTS OUT OK TILL MY HUSBAND AND 8 YEAR OLD START PICKING UP THINGS AND PUTTING THEM IN THE PACK. BY THE END OF THE DAY MY BACK IS KILLING ME. FOR THIS TRIP TO DISNE, I GOT A FANNY PACK FOR ME AND A SMALL COOLER/BACKPACK FOR ALL OF US. WHAT DOESN'T FIT WON'T BE KEPT. GOOD THING WITH DISNEY IS ANYTHING WE BUY CAN BE SENT TO OUR HOTEL.

I am bringing a very small backpack. We are also bringing another one to place in a locker with extra clothes. My 2 girls are bringing fanny packs for their stuff. It's all pretty light. All I have is a first aid kit, out tickets, a wallet and a few essentials.

WE'RE LEAVING TOMORROW!!! WOOHOO!!!!!

DS (10) and DD (7) each carry a waistpack to hold their magical moments game, some Disney dollars and a small snack. DH and I each carry a backpack. His is largely cameras (3 or 4) and their accompanying paraphernalia along with two water bottles. Mine usually has the sweatshirts, emergency stuff, sunscreen, autograph books and the other two water bottles. We also travel during the colder months though, where a sweatshirt (and sometimes an additional layer) is a must.

We use a back Pack for extra clothes diapers etc., and also carry a fanny pac for "quick" items like camera, wallet, passes, autograph book.

Since my fiance and I are still enjoying our "childless" years, I carry a purse large enough for a camera, one or two Totes 'Brellas (the best invention ever), anti-bacterial hand wash and my make-up. My favorite purses to carry are the Coach Signature Medium Duffle Sac and Signature Buckle Hobo. You can fit a ton of stuff in them, but they aren't bulky.

I do all of the carrying myself. I have a SAK backpack that is cute and lightweight. I do not even bring checks with us and take out all but the major credit card and my debit card. I also carry sunglasses for DH and myself, sunscreen, and the camera. That is about it. I try to keep it simple and LIGHT!!
