May 29-June6 is my 2nd trip & family's (1st DH, DS4,DS7). My question is do we need one backpack for all or each a fanny? I don't really know what the kids would put in their's, but I'm sure I'll want my camera, small camcorder(will I really use this?) water bottle, etc. but I don't know if the backpack will get too bulky in the heat? Any advice from veterans?

We used both. I kept all the bigger stuff in the back pack, my wallet and smaller stuff in the fanny pack. We had two back packs and two fanny packs for the four of us. But I probably carted around stuff you might not need. I had big ziplock bags for our camera and autograph books so if it rained they would stay dry, I had ponchos, mini fans, water bottles etc. It really wasn't too bad with the heat.

That is an awesome question..... I would like to know the same! We are going in 8 days for the first time.

Suggestions would be great! It will be myself, dh, DS11 & DD5.

The last time I went DH and I each had a fanny pack the first day. The second day only one of us had one, and by the third day we didn't bother. Water in the parks are cheap enough that we didn't want to bother carrying around any. We did buy the water/soda strap to hold around our neck to carry the bottle of water or soda that we bought in the park.

It was MUCH easier without a bag - we got through the entrance quicker (no security checks because of no bags!) - no worries when on the rides, etc.

The little bit of items that we needed we were able to put in our pockets (camera, etc).

Now, I do want to point out that this was with no children - if we had kids, I don't know what we would have done!
