backing a caribbean trip onto WDW?

Hi gang-we are looking to perhaps do a two centre trip next March or April with 4 or 5 days in the world and then flying over to a caribbean island for a few days. Have any of you ever done this? Where do you suggest we go. We dont want to do a cruise! Any ideas are helpful, TIA...

No cruise? well.... Bahamas is close but the weather may not be hot enough. (at least in March).
Turk & Caicos isn't that far from Florida either.
Any island you were thinking about?
