Background Music @ WL???

Search is not working.......but I know I have seen this question before. Can anyone tell me where I could buy the background CD that they play in the lobby at WL????

I am not sure, but I just have to say what a marvelous company Disney is, they have us wanting their lobby music to take home with us. Very cool. Got to love Disney.

I don't think it is available.

Majastic & a few other "vets" have been working to find all the music. (Someone posted a list of the songs.) He/they were going to "burn" a CD.

There have been several posts about this in the WL FAQ thread, part 3. If you have time to look, I remember them being several pages back. I know it's such a large thead........

You cannot purchase a CD of the WL music due to copyright laws (believe me, I would if I could)! However, I found a CD at Barnes and Noble that has many of the same songs on it, even if it's not *exactly* the same. It is called "The Nature of America." You might go to your nearest B & N and check it out. Many of them have listening stations that allow you to listen before you buy.

Theme from the Magnificent 7 rocks!!!!!!! I almost hate going to the WL during XMAS because they play holiday tunes rather than our favorates from the wild west..

During our September trip, my DD wanted to buy me a souvenir, and I said I wanted a CD of the lobby music. We ask a CM and he said they can not make it because of copyrights. He printed me off the list and there is a link on page 2, Wilderness Layout. I bumped into Majestic later and told him about it and he ask I send him a copy.. Majestic and I have worked on it and I have listened, awesome, to what he has so far. Again it is the problem of copyrights and we are still trying for a work around.

My dh and I play the soundtrack to the Last of the Mohicans at home when we need a WL fix. We hear this music occasionally when we are there and I don't want to leave the Lodge when its on. It's so powerful!!

Might I offer another CD from the same publisher? It's "Copland: The Music of America" (published by TELARC). I've been a lover or Aaron Copland's music for a long time, and walking into the lobby at WL and hearing "Rodeo" and the other Copland pieces only tightened the bond I felt with WL. On this CD are the following pieces from the WL playlist:

Billy The Kid - Movement I
Billy The Kid - Movement II
Buckaroo Holiday (from "Rodeo")
Appalachian Spring Ballet

Not only that, but the CD contains all of "Billy The Kid" and "Rodeo", not just the sections from WL. Plus the CD also contains "Fanfare For A Common Man", probably the best known Copland work of all.

I love WL.....stayed there Oct 2002 but had to stay at CBR this Oct because the Room Only Codes were not released. Big disappointment for us Next Oct hopefully WL will be in our budget.

Now, how many pine candles would I have to burn to get that wonderful lodge smell???hahaha Do you think they sell WL candles???

The Wilderness Lodge lobby music isn't really all that hard to find. If you use WinMX you can find it there. I have all the music on my hard drive and available on WinMX. If you go there and search for "wilderness lodge musc" you should be able to find most of it. If you log on to WinMX right now, I'm on there and you can download it from me.

Hi. Some of the lobby music is from the movie "The Last of the Mohicans." (Did I spell that correctly?) I remember loving the the music and my Dad telling me it was from that movie. Perhaps you can buy the soundtrack CD from the movie. I'm a big fan on the music myself.
