We got back last night from a fantastic trip. Here are the traditional highs and lows....
Highs
The Cheyenne. Loved this hotel, the theming is just brilliant. Our room was clean, comfortable and more spacious than I thought it might be. It wasn't in a perfect state of repair with a few scuffs here and there but it didn't bother me at all. Breakfast also wasn't the scrum I was expecting. When we went at about 7.45 it was very busy but we found a table and didn't have any trouble getting to the food. Having said that, it was much more peaceful on the day we went at 7am! Our room was in Running Bear which is the closest to the park so the walk in was quicker than I'd expected - I'll definitely ask for a room in that block again.
Dreams - Just amazing and it looks sooo much better in real life. I just wish I'd been able to see it a second time.
Salon Mickey - we went there every day and it felt so great knocking on that door each time. Oh, and those filled croissants with the nuts and chocolate on top were to die for!
Queue levels - we managed to do so many rides and almost all were walkons, even on the Sunday afternoon when I thought it would be really busy.
Lows
I only have one low and that was the weather on Sunday night and Monday. It started raining about an hour before we watched Dreams which was annoying, however it made it very easy to find a spot to watch it! Then on Monday it rained non stop All Day Long which really took the edge off my Disney high! We all got soaked and ended up going back to our hotel by about 3pm. On the plus side though we got loads of rides done before we left and we then had a nice restful afternoon catching up on a bit of sleep after our late night watching Dreams.
A couple of other comments...
Smoking - I didn't really notice this and didn't experience anyone smoking near us in queues etc. Having said that, we weren't in many queues for long!
Queue jumping - no problem with this either but again there weren't many queues!
Toilets - I didn't think these were as bad as other people have suggested. They all seemed to be kept pretty clean. Some did whiff a bit though I have to admit but there was no obvious reason why - maybe they have a problem with the drains?! The best ones I found were the ones in Videopolis. Oh, and the ones in the DLH of course, which we used once or twice when we passed by!
I'll try and do a trip report soon with a bit more detail.
