hi everyone

our home resorts are vwl & bcv.

we are planning our 2007 trip and will need to call and make our ressies.

we are planning on going June 9-19 with the first half of trip at AKL and the 2nd half of trip at - hopefully - bcv.

however if bcv is not available hubby and I are thinking we would like to try either okw or ssr - since these are the only 2 we haven't stayed at yet.

so.....

which resort would be more fun for two teenage boys ages 14 & 15 (our son and nephew)?

are the sleeper sofas queen or full size in the one bedroom units - if full, we'll have to go to 2br unit

bus transportation - which has the better?

This will be our first June trip since son is older now its almost impossible to take him out of school for our typical May trips. We went once over Easter - never again and did once in July - but we're hoping June won't be as bad as July was and we don't think anytime would be as crowded as Easter.

Thanks for all your input

They are both very nice resortsand both located approx in the same location on WDW property. Both are very close (walking distance) to DTD, which will most likely be a big hit for the teen boys.
The 1 brs have a queen size sleeper in the lr in both resorts.
The bus service is basically the same at both resorts. Both resorts have bus service to only that resort but both have multiple stops within the resort.
Because OKW is older, the landscaping and gardens are more full and lush because they have had longer to develop, but SSR's landscaping and gardens are pretty darn nice also.
Some feel as though SSR is more fancy than OKW. We find them both to be pleasantly laid back and low key.
The 2 biggest differences is the size of the villas and the cost of the pts. . OKW's 1 br+ is much larger, so the teens would have a substantial amount more space to spread out in the lr/dr/kitchen area. Also the balconies are substantially larger at OKW.
OKW will also be less pts per night.
We like both resorts but if we had to choose, we would pick OKW for the bigger villa and the lower pts.
Have a great trip!

thanks for the info - you are truly appreciated

I don't think you need to worry at all.

you are still in the 10th month time. I bet you get BCV with no problems.

is Easter there only spring break?

how about Thanksgiving do they get a week then? It is definitely crowded - but the weather is much better and the points are lower.

I hope you're right about the 10 month window - but I always like to be prepared with a back up plan just in case - so I don't have to stress over what to do :rotfl2:

as far as school vacation - spring break is the week before Easter Sunday - and Thanksgiving week he has 3 days off but we always go to the bay area to be with my mom then - she's 82 - and there will be a day when she's not there to have it.

I have to take my son to orientation this morning so will be calling MS when I get back - keep your fingers crossed.

Thanks for everything

YOU WERE RIGHT - WOO HOO
WE GOT OUR BCV :thumbsup2

All that worrying for nothing - but - I guess I'm just a compulsive planner :sunny:
