When the time comes to make ADR"S, do you have a back up choice for each of your preferred restaurants, or do you just call back trying to get your first choices?

Always smart to have backup restaurants to reserve, and to call back and keep trying for one's first choices (and, of course, to cancel the backup restaurants when appropriate - your backup may be somebody else's first choice!)

If you book online, they will give you alternatives at the time you requested, and they are somewhat in the same area. You can also check back online frequently for the ones you want and change them around very easily.

Always have backups, and be willing to switch touring days if necessary. A Le Cellier ADR for dinner popped up on my last day, so I changed our plans to fit the dinner.

I was unwilling to change touring plans so I had a few backup ADR's ready if needed.

Luckily I was able to get everything that I wanted!

I start with my most desired ADR and work down from there. Usually my last want is not as popular and I can squeeze it in on the last open day. With park hoppers we are pretty flexable.

I always have 2 backups chosen. I never had to use one until last trip. Mickey's BBQ was booked solid so we chose our back up, which was still a good choice so I didn't keep checking for openings at the BBQ.

Well, for most of my choices, I had back-up date/times for my choices. For Le Cellier, I had a back-up restaurant.

So for CRT, I chose my 1st date/time which was lunch, then if that wasn't available, it would be for breakfast, then it wasn't for that, then I chose a different day I would be in MK, etc. Then the rest of my choices were dependent on CRT, etc

As for Le Cellier, I had a back-up restaurant and just chose that. I wasn't willing to change my touring plan for it.

Fortunately, I didn't have to change anything. I got my first choice of date/time for everything except Le cellier which I just chose Teppan Edo for the same date/time.

Always have back ups & be flexiable with times and days .
Ex: I couldn't get LC to the end of my trip and I went through all my days. So you might have to move things around .

If I don't get the ADR I want...I usually keep on trying and eventually I get in but maybe a time I don't like but take it. Then that day, I try to see if I can get a time better...usually works.

What I did was make our park plans first, then decided where to eat that was close to the park we will be at. Then I made a list of places we wanted to eat, 1-3 this way when I called in the 90-day window I did not have to choose what the CM suggested. But much to my surprise I did not have to use anything other then our first choice! Good LUCK!
