Back today 7/9 from Wilderness Lodge

Got home this morning after a great 10 day stay at the Wilderness Lodge. We thought the result was great and had only minor complaint. Similar to other just returned thread, our card key got deactivated and my husband had problems getting into the parks. We had room 3107 which is in the corner facing into the center court yard. It is the 1st room in coming from the main lobby. We paid for a woods view so i am not sure if thiw as an upgrade or not but it was a nice view of the back deck and the little pond that feeds from the creek in the lobby. We were lucky with housekeeping because we must have been the first room done every day. one day we were gone for 1/2 hr for breakfast and our room was done when we got back! I would recommend all of the food options at the WL. We had many quick breakfasts as Roaring Forks. We had 2 breakfasts, 2 dinners, and a lunch at Whispering Canyon and all were good. The highlight had to be Artist Point which was by far the best meal I had all week. Any questions let me know.

Welcome back. DW and I will be at the WL Nov. 29 to Dec. 6.. This will be our 20th stay at the WL. We haven't stayed at the WL since the new bus route to the MK, did you try it and how was it? I would think it would be hard to be better than the boat.

We have never had a problem with the keys at the WL, but a couple years ago we had a real bad key problem at the AKL. This is real frustrating.

Good to hear you enjoyed the WL...my family and I stayed in room 3107 on a trip two years ago! What a coincidence. We thought the room was a little noisy due to a lot of traffic coming and going to the main lobby and gift shop-also the vending/ice machines right there but it was a very convenient location too. We had also asked for a preferred room and were surprised this was what we recieved.

I was there and left on the 27th. I was in room 3110 right across the hall!
The woman in housekeeping there was great. We went down to RF one day and we just got something to eat to bring to the room. When we got back our room was done!! I couldn't believe it.

They are fast.

Glad you had a wonderful trip. I did as well, and I can tell you that the WL and BC have become my two favourite hotels at Disney.

We had good luck with transportation. We didn't take the magic kingdom bus as we enjoyed the boats. We saw it a few times when waiting for other buses and it seemed to be running fairly regularly. We seemed to have little or no bus wait the first part of the week and going into 4th of july weekend. It just seemed that we were really lucky and would walk up as the bus was coming. The last few days we just missed the bus a few times but I think the longest we waited was 20 or 25 minutes and that was to leave the AK at around noon. The only other issue was getting to AKL to have dinner at BoMa. I followed the guide idea to go thru downtown disney as i figured it would give me time to shop. We left at about 4:45, only shopped for 30 minutes and barely made it in time for our 7pm reservation. We probably should have gone via the MK instead of downtown disney as it is out of the way and there are too many stops.

How was the bus from WL to MK or did you only take the boat?

We were at Wilderness Lodge form 6/24 - 7/2. We took the bus to MK several times. It was only a five minute bus ride. The busses seemed to come very often. I thought the bus was faster than the boat. But I still love the boat ride. It is very relaxing. I think either way is fine.
