June weather is typically hot but dry, 80's and 90's. This year, however, we had a lot of cooler, cloudy weather. July and August was weather in the 100's almost everyday. It was really brutal this year, we even had a lot of humidity which is atypical. I will have my positive vibes out for pleasantly warm and dryfor when you come.

Naot have many styles including for walking which Kim wants. They are made by kibbutz people who wear sandals as work shoes. Very different. Also have a very stylish line.
Too funny! I would not wear Birkenstocks! And Jim sent me a link to the Walking Store and they have a TON of styles! They have one of these in my favorite mall, so I'll look and try next time I'm down that way. I also finally got an email back from the company this morning and there's a shop here in town that carries them, apparently, as well as one down island a ways. As I just paid the credit card bill from our trip, this needs to wait a while!
. We have booked in both cities with Home Away. We are staying near the Louvre, just a block off from the Tuileries garden in a one bedroom apt in an 18th century building for 200 euros a night! There were many other choices that were even less expensive, but since we only get three days I was very picky on location and proximity of places I wanted to be able to walk to. In Barcelona we found a 3 bedroom apartment in a 16th century building for only 130 euros a night. Our apartment is located a block behind the main post office on a pedestrian only street between Las Ramblas and Ciutadella Parc. We are so excited to have more space, a kitchen and washer/dryer for less than a cramped hotel room!
