Need advice,

Our 1st trip to Disney with baby. LO will be 10 months. We are already booked at VWL for a 2 bedroom 1st week in July. Now I have on hold a one bedroom the last week in June at AKL.

Do you think thats too much to be away with a 10 month old?

Too much Disney? Too much eating out?

I don't know about anyone else, but if I had the points, I would do it in a heartbeat. :worship:

I did not know ther was such a thing a "to much Disney", have fun

agreed!! 2 weeks would be wonderful!! We did 12 days with an almost 4 year old and a 13 month old and it was great!

Two weeks will be perfect! You will feel like you have plenty of time to see the parks and still get out of the heat between noon and 4 everyday. Which is the only drawback about traveling in the summer with an infant. It's just too darn hot on the little ones to be out in the afternoon. With two weeks you won't feel like you are having to miss so much, and with the 1 and 2 bedrooms, you will be able to cook, or at the very least have sandwich and salad fixing on hand for lunch, and quick breakfast items.

I don't know the temperament of your LO, but when I took mine under the age of 1, they did fabulous with waking up early, getting to rope drop or soon after, resting and napping in the afternoon. We would then go out for dinner and stay until park closing. LO would sleep in the stroller or the sling. Once they started walking was when the vacays got more complicated.

Have fun!

I think that you'll be fine if you understand that you aren't going to be able to do the parks the way that you were able pre-baby. That seems fairly straightforward (and kinda DUH-ish), but, even the difference of having to lug a stroller everywhere is a huge difference from what you are used to (especially on the busses). Also, schedule structure is very important at that age, and you are going to want to make sure that you keep to your already established patterns for naps, meals, etc. AND, you are going to have to make sure that you keep your kiddo hydrated and out of the heat as much as possible. All that said, I think that you will be making some amazing memories for yourselves and I think it's totally doable. Good luck. :goodvibes

1. Do you think thats too much to be away with a 10 month old?

2. Too much Disney?

3. Too much eating out?

1. Nope. 2 weeks will let you take it slower and relax more. It might actually make for a better trip for the 10 mo. old.

2. You'll be hard pressed to find anyone here that will give you a "yes" answer to that. We always go for about 2 weeks, and did when my DS was 18 mo. old. It's great.

3. If you don't want to eat out so much, don't. You'll have a kitchen in both places.
