has anyone actually done the
DCL/WESTERN CARIBEEN CRUISE and DCL/EASTERN CARIBEEN Cruise
back to back
and stayed on the "Magic" for 14 straight days??

Well, we were supposed to be on the Magic for 14 days on a Western and Eastern, but dear Hurricane Jeanne shortened it to a mere 12 days on the ship....only got to CC once as a result as well. Regardless, it was the best 12 nights! I would highly recommend doing back to backs! It was actually cheaper than doing the repo (we had to cancel that :sad2: )
....but you could try either!

Well we didn't do back to back on the Magic, but we did do a 4-day Wonder followed by a 7-day Magic!! Back to back cruises...what a way to go :cool1:
Plus a few days in the parks

Give it a try :cloud9:

Oh, you guys are killing me!!! I would :cloud9: L O V E :cloud9: to do that!!!!

It must not be all that rare, because everytime we've been on a DC, there have been folks who are either staying on for the next voyage, or are coming off their 1st leg of a back-to-back cruise. Infact the captain mentioned during the Cclub reception that there was X number of parties doing b2b cruises onboard at the present.

Hey, talk to Alex (firsttimers)...they do all disney "firsts"...in fact, they will be b2b on the 14 day westbound and the first west coast!

My family of 6 will be doing a west coast cruise this june. My husband and I will then do the east coast repo cruise, debark for one day then reboard for the 4 day member cruise on the wonder. It's going to be a wonderful summer. :rotfl:

We've never done it on the Magic, but we've done three in a row on the Wonder. Of course, my husband's dream was to do an Eastern, a Western, the repo and then the West Coast. I don't know...I'd weigh about 300 pounds and be so spoiled after something like that that I'd never be able to adapt back to "real life."

I'm just curious.....I'm a little envious of the amount of time some of the DISers spend at Disney or on cruises! Is one of the reasons for so many cruises because you all own DVC property? Or is it because that's how you like to spend your money?

I will tell you the only reason I work is so I can do my vacations!
I'm sure there are many others just like me. I wish I could do back to back cruises, but hubby I don't think would go for that.

And what is a Member Cruise? (please explain - I'm thinking of purchasing DVC property)

Haven't done a b2b yet but we've booked a b2b in August 2006. We'll start off doing the 7-day Western and the second week will be the Special 7-night to Costa Maya. We're so looking forward to these cruises as we'll get 3 days at Castaway Cay :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I have once before asked the same questions you have just now. One of my questions was that if you are doing b2b cruises and you get off the ship after the first week, how soon can you get back into the building to get in line. We are planning on doing b2b Eastern/Western in 2008 (Im trying to save EXTRA spending money! Think SPA! Think SPA!). I want to be the last one off the Magic and then run around to the front of the building so we can be first in line and have our welcome aboard picture taken for the second week of the cruise. Has anyone done this? I don't mind just relaxing on deck but I kinda want proof that I was there 2 weeks in a row. ::yes::

Corryn, the members cruise I referred to is for dvc members and yes it will be literally a ship full of dvc owners only. Robin :earsgirl:

We don't own DVC...we'd like to, but we just can't work it in right now. We saved for our 3 week WDW/DCL trip for quite some time, and we typically take a bigger vacation every other year. Also, we don't have kids yet, so we figure alot of vacationing will probably stop for a while after we have them, so we are taking advantage of all our remaining adults only time!
