I jumped ahead with Wisconite bus part 1 and 2.
I should of started at the beginning, but I had a brain fart. Anyway.
3 years ago, our H.S. Band said they were going to WDW in April of '03. My oldest sister who has 2 teen boys at home yet, said she wanted to spend her 25th wedding anniversary on vacation with everyone which is my parents and 4 daughters and husbands and various teenagers.
My husband and myself were just at disney and he didn't want to go, so I said, fine, I'll go with the band and be a chaperone for $530, plus I paid that much for my son to go with the band.
Anyhow,,, 2 weeks before we were suppose to leave my husband decided he would go, with our youngest, they were suppose to go somewhere on vacation, it was there choice.
So, I scored them tickets from Chicago to Orlando on the 19th of april till the 24th round trip of $176 a piece.
My sisters were staying at All Star's Sports, called and she asked if they would like to stay at Coronado for same price $109, husband said no, cause it is really for conventions, then CM said what about New Orleans French Side and then he said sure.
They called 2 days later and put them in Port Orleans Riverside, in the Mansion. My husband and daughter loved the place.
I had to call also for a Rental, cause they were flying out on United, they sent me a e-mail to save on a car, I called and he said $89 a day. (I whined a little and he said, "how would you like to go with our parent co "National", same vehicle for $47. I asked if it would be clean and he said if they don't like it, he can always go to Alamo. Score on National and husband said they had their pick of vehicle.
So you can find deals last minute. Being Easter Season, they probably could of stayed off site, cheaper, but it saved on the Rental.
The CM let him buy 2 day 1 nite tickets (Length of Stay). I think they are called something else now. When I asked on the phone about their tickets, I was told they had to go with 3 nite 4 day park hopper. So it pays to buy your tickets there if you don't want big park hopper tickets. Since we saw Magic Kingdom a couple of times, he and daughter came in at nite to see the parade at 9. It worked out well for them.
Me, on the 28 hour bus ride, it was coach, I scored my own seat and so did my son. We were suppose to have 1 full size bus and 2 smaller, the bus company gave us 3 full size buses, so a lot of the kids had their own seats. I could not sleep on the bus. Wisconsin to Floriday, over 1300 miles. Left WI at 50, Florida, 85. Love that Florida weather.
