MAGIC KINGDOM
BACKSTAGE TOUR
(KEYS To the KINGDOM)

ANIMAL KINGDOM
WILD BY DESIGN TOUR

Thank you in advance

:smooth: A few years ago my family and I went on the KEYS TO THE KINGDOM TOUR it was a good one not to long lots of trivia and facts,we got to go underneath the MK for a bit of the tour well worth the money and time

We took the Keys to the Kingdom tour back in May and really enjoyed it. As much as I read the Disboards, there was still a LOT of new information to be gleaned from the tour.

In addition to seeing the backstage areas, they will also take your tour group on a couple of attractions. We had our own private (and very customized) trip on the Jungle Cruise, as well as backdoor entry to the Haunted Mansion. I've head that PotC is also part of the rotation on some days.

Just make sure you wear comfortable shoes as they keep you moving at a brisk pace. They will stop for restroom breaks periodically, and 30-45 minutes for a private lunch at Columbia Harbor House.

The Keys to the Kingdom tour is a lot of fun, not too strenuous and we loved going down into the utilidors. We haven't done Wild By Design at AK but have done the Backstage Safari which was GREAT! Our guide told us that Wild By Design is more inside the park where Backstage Safari was more behind the scenes so we were glad we chose it! Of all the tours we've done, these are our two favorites but we are going on the Backstage Magic tour for the first time next week so that may be topping our list soon.

what is great about backstage safair
I have time to switch from wild by design to backstage safair

Backstage Safari is almost completely backstage so you see lots of stuff you wouldn't normally see when visiting AK. You go into the areas where the animals are housed, fed, and cared for. You get to talk to the trainers and care givers about the animals - where they came from, how they are taken care of, what the are fed, etc. It's the one on one contact with the experts and the closeness to the animals that you couldn't get elsewhere. We toured the vet hospital and the kitchen as well as getting some hands on time with a bird during the break. The last thing we did was the Safari ride but with the normal audio turned off and our guide giving us more of a behind the scenes commentary of the ride. I assume that part was like the sunrise safari but I haven't done that one yet so not sure.
