 I m sure you ioa us veterans can tell me how strict are they on bringing in food inside your backpack,Staying at rpr just dont like walking back and forth loseing quality park time...Thanks

Hi DaddyDon, I have always carried titbits for my children and drink - water and squash and I don't think I have been stopped.
Especially the drink.......the lines were soooo long once - I had to stand for at least 30 mins in the hot sun in line just for a drink for my 2 kids. From that day on I always take a litre bottle of water and a small bottle of undiluted squash to mix drinks in their sports bottles - I even took a flask of tea for me once!!:p and I quite often taken in tubes of fromage frais, current buns, crisps and sweets to keep them happy when they are in line!;) But I don't know if this is against the rules....someone else will tell you that one!:D

squash?

Daddydon: they are very good about letting you bring food and drink in to the park

The official website states that outside food and drink are prohibited, however, I have never had a problem with this.

I always bring in a 24oz Diet Pepsi (don't like Coke :p) with me with no problems. Also have brought snacky foods like Oreos, cereal, fruit. I saw a woman who brought a TON of snacks of the same sort (I mean, at least 10 things worth of snacks). I've even carried in food I took out from Hard Rock Cafe into the parks (when I meet up with parents at another restaurant when I was craving my Buffalo Chicken...:p). One time I saw a couple who brought a 2 liter of Mountain Dew!!!

So, it's not strictly enforced...at least not all the times I went. :)

bringing in snacks is something that i think everyone does, but just remember the more you take along the more you have to drag every where you go.
I like to keep it simple. Everyone gets their own fanny pack. In each fanny pack is a baggie of various goodies. my personal favs are ; cookies, pretzel sticks , skittles(they don't melt easily), licorice, and at least a sucker or two. Along with this I put one frozen juice box . The right combination of saltly and sweet will calm those sudden cravings for expensive snack foods. You can also try putting dried foods and nuts in the baggies. You can premake these baggies and put them in your suitcases before you leave from home and label them for each individual person. this is a great pretrip activity for the kids.

Yes snacks are allowed in.

Kimberly- I love your ideas!!!! Making notes.....:D

I cant count how many times I've done this kind of thing at both Disney and Universal. Usually, I'll have gotten a drink from a 7-11 or something of the nature, which would be finished by arrival time. That bottle would then be used to fill with water throughout the day. And the bag of small snacks happens semi-often.

Though the past few trips that hasn't been the case

We didnt have a problem bringing snacks in with us. but there were signs up all the way from the parking lot and at the gates saying no outside food allowed- and no coolers.

xplor

That is true, but as you can see, they don't follow it....luck for all of us.:D

The biggest concern is glass bottles. Those are not allowed for obvious reasons.
