We finally, after 6 weeks, set up my old computer and I am back online. We still need to get the newer computer repaired. All told, we lost over $6000 worth of equipment due to the power surge caused by FPL lack of maintenence of their equipment. The problem turned out to be at the meter box where they had used poor materials (cooper with aluminum) and the rust had caused the connections to loosen and erode.
We are filing complaint and will see if the will reimburse us for the damages. Meanwhile I am on my older computer. At least I don't have to go online on my Sidekick. That screen is really small.
