Hi!
hpywave.gif

I have just gone back on Atkins! :) I had started it about this time last year and was really good on it for about 6 months. I lost 50lbs and have kept it off. But I am still at 215lbs which is really high and my health is suffering for it. So I decided that since I want to be around for another 70 or so years to antagonize my DH that I better get with the program.

So here I am on day two! :)

I would like to get down to about 175. I think I would look and feel great!

That is a wonderful decision! How are you feeling?
Just looking through these posts will keep you motivated:D
I'm still on induction myself, so I'm here if you need someone to talk to!

I think its easier this time -I already know the portion sizes and have a routine - its just a matter of motivation! lol

When I went on it orignally I made some great lifestyle changes that have stuck with me even when I was "off" the plan and I think that is why I never gained weight back. For instance I am a huge coffee drinker but used to take it with milk and sugar - multiply two teaspoons times ten cups of coffee a day and it really adds up! Now I take my coffee with cream only.

Beef jerkey is your friend too! It travels well and I make my own! Yum!

My biggest obstacle is "finger foods" like snacks when watching tv - I love popcorn and chips but that can't happen. So I munch on jerkey or cheese and green pepper strips. Strawberries and blueberries are good too when they are in season!

One day at a time!

Congrats on making the choice to do it again. I know how hard it is to get back into it. I am sure you will succeed once again.

Welcome!!!!

Welcome!!!

You have come to the right place for support and encouragement.

Congratulations of the weight you have lost and kept off. You'll be able to do it again.

Sounds like you have a great plan for yourself and one that works! I do a "vegetarian" Atkins, since I don't eat any red meat, chicken or turkey, so I'm really limited in my choices, but I've found a lot of nice recipes that work for me too. Too bad I couldn't make Tofu Jerkey LOL

GOOD FOR YOU!

Hope to see you posting here often! :) So many wonderful people here are having loads of success with Atkins! :)

It's so great to see you here, Cyn! I'm on Atkins too. One of my favorite munchie treats is spreadable cheese on unpeeled cucumber slices. Yummy.

There are a lot of WISHers eating the Atkins way. I'm really glad you decided to join our support group.

You can add the WISH challenge clipart to your signature. It's fun being able to recognize WISH buddies on the other boards. There is a great post telling you to do that right HERE. If you need help just pm Kelsie, me or glo and we'll find help for you. You could also ask for help on the Technical support board, they are very helpful over there.

If I was you, I would add that challenge clipart right away. If your body responds to low carb eating like mine did, you will be moving up to the 5 or 10 pound loss clippie at the end of your first week. It's so much fun to trade up the clipart :)

Welcome to our happy WISH family :)

Welcome to WISH!!!!

I think I am going to go back on Atkins too - at least to jump start my diet. I've been home recouping from surgery and did really well the first 3 weeks (lost 8 lbs). The last couple of week, not so good - gained back 4 lbs.

I'm going to wait until Monday to start because with all the goodies tomorrow I might as well have one final hurrah!

Congratulations on going back to Atkins! :) Welcome to the WISH Board! :):)

Thanks for the good wishes gang! :teeth:

Day two has been successful.....now onto day three! :)

BTW - I picked up the Atkins Shake Mix on my way home - I hadn't tried it before, I bought the chocolate, its really ok! Its not terribly sweet but doesn't have a nasty soy taste and its really really thick! I think I am going to try making fudgecicles out of it! :)

Lynn - I have made some dehydrated veggies with a "jerky" flavor that aren't bad! Green peppers are good!

I'm pretty sure that glo has some shake recipes somewhere that use cream cheese and sugar free syrups. I'm off to track them down.

TIdoublegaER I am so glad you will be joining us on Monday :) Add your clipart as soon as you sign up for the challenge, that way you can trade up clipart soon :) It took me forever to earn my 5 pound clippie because I didn't take the challenge until my 4th week on Atkins and my losing slowed down, then.

I love seeing new faces in my support group!
