Is there anyone out there who thinks that it might be ok the week of the 19-26th???
I am hoping that maybe the school breaks are the weeks of the 6-17th, the weeks around columbus day. ANd that the press event is the reason for alot of the crowds.

Anyone else agree that maybe by the 19th, it will have calmed down just a little bit??????

I am freaking out here!!! LOL!!

oops hit it twice I guess..I really am freaking out LOL!!

Yes, I think it'll be great that week. The school fall breaks may be over by then. ::yes::

Wed and Thursday, Oct 1 and 2 were total walkons for us. We were also the only ones on the MGM tram. I have pictures of this and many of us in Epcot with no other people in the pictures. No wait for any ride in Epcot on the 2nd. No one was waiting for a car when we returned from our spin on Test Track. MS CM's were waiting for guests! No more than 5 min wait posted in MK last Wed.(except PP) and I think that was the time to walk up to the ride! I really think we timed our quick trip perfectly as it was not a weekend and the FL specials had ended. MNSSHP had not started either. Pooh WAS down on Oct 1 also. This did cause a 10 min wait time at Peter Pan-the only actual wait we saw. I am sure the media events drew big crowds this week.
I wonder what is wrong with Pooh? Hope it is more reliable next month when we go again. It was being refurbished this past May while we were there and we need a Pooh fix! ::yes::
BTW, we don't have fall break here-we do have this Friday off for teacher planning.

Fantasmic on Sat. night...nowhere near full.
AK on Sun. AM till 1:00, no problem. Did Safari first (9:20) walked right on. Then gorilla trail, FOLK, ITTBAB, and Kali with a 25 minute stand-by. Did MNSSHP that night.
TL on Monday till 1:00, then Epcot FW for a while, but left before IllumiNations (DD didn't feel well). MK 8-5 on Tues., stayed in that night due to thunderstorm coming up during supper. MGM 9 until after parade on Wed., IllumiNations that night. EPCOT 9-3 on Thursday with Chef Mickey's at 5:15, Spectro and Wishes. Friday was "catch-up" day with arrival at MK right after opening. Mainly got autographs and photos...only ride was Teacups. Left at noon, ate lunch at resort, then headed to BB till 4:30. Visited DTD that night. Only times I felt the crowds was Thursday night for parade/Wishes and at Downtown on Friday night. Melanie

We were there 10/4 to 10/10 the crowds were extremely large I have been in November December and October before and this was just to crowded to truly enjoy the parks.

Sounds like we will have crowds the last week of Oct - FTP and Halloween.

The past two years there were very little crowds.

This was our 4th year going at this time and it was like what we usually see in mid to late June!!:earseek:
The first couple days it was like a busier day in Oct.....kinda like the usual Columbus day weekend crowds.
But Thursday and Friday (10/9 and 10/10) were just simply NUTS!!!
I think next time if we find out there is an event that limits our options we will opt for a different week!!
If we had it to do over.......we would have completely avoiding the parks Wed evening, Thurs evening and Friday.

We had an awesome time.......but we choose to go in Oct because the crowds are lighter allowing us to see everything even though the hours are shorter. They should have extended the park hours more than just on Thursday!

Hiya thanks 4 warning me about the crowds........i'm 16 and from the UK i'm going 2 Florida 4 the 1st time on the 16th October:sunny:
