We got back late last Thursday (11/18) from a 2 week trip!

2 days at Magic Kingdom
2 days at DHS
2 days at EPCOT
1 day at Animal Kingdom
2 days at Blizzard Beach
1 day at Universal Studios (first visit)
1 day at Island of Adventures (first visit)
1.5 days at Siesta Key/Crescent Beach (truly amazing)

Tried some new onsite dinning...

Le Cellier (very good, but have had better elsewhere)
Hollywood Brown Derby (amazing, loved everything)
The Garden Grill (theming, food, characters - all fabulous)
Wolfgang Puck Express (Divine, went here twice)

Experienced a snake in our shower! See link here :scared1:

Weather was amazing, clear blue skies almost everyday and low 80's. Cool in the morning/evening. We only had rain on the first day, which was our arrival day (no biggie as we didn't have any plans).

The best trip we have had over the last 4 years by far! :lovestruc

Crowds were higher than expected, but we love going in the fall.

Sadly I have withdrawl symptoms now... :sad1:

At least I can keep busy with editing our photos (800+ of them)... that should tie me over until I can plan our next trip (shhh, don't tell my husband) :rotfl:

Oh my gosh that snake! I'm not afraid of snakes but that might have made me jump! Great photography of it though :thumbsup2

I hear you on the withdrawal....I'm working on planning two more trips plus a family vacation that's non-Disney in between them so it's not as bad as the first time I came back.

Woohoo, in the midst of planning our next trip!

AKV (1-bedroom) for 7 nights, followed by 5 nights at Siesta Key. :lovestruc

Just have to finalize everything now! :thumbsup2

That was quick! What are your dates? DO you own DVC or are you renting points?

Just wondering, as I've recently been thinking about DVC and am comparing renting vs owning.:)

Dates are tentative for October 15th to 22nd (7 nights). We'll be renting points - 181 for a standard view, 1 bedroom suite at Kidani Village. We'll be paying just under $9.50 a point. :woohoo:

At that price I can't justify owning. :confused3

Thanks for your answer. From what I've seen you certainly got a competitive price for your vacation. Enjoy!

Maybe one day we'll look at owning DVC as a legacy for the kids but for now I think (for our vacation habits) that trying out renting points might be a lot less expensive in the short run. :)

So last night I was talking to the kids, to make sure they wanted AKV before we booked. Thank goodness I asked because they both changed their minds to BLT.

So it looks like we'll be staying at BLT now. 210 points for a standard view, 1 bedroom suite. We'll be paying approx. $8.57 a point, so only $100 more for BLT in compairson to AKV.

Heck either way we would have been happy, but it looks like BLT is the winner for 2011! :wizard:

Planning another trip is a sure fire way to take the sting out of leaving WDW :goodvibes I haven't even left for our Jan trip, and I'm already booked for Aug!

Wow $8.57 at 11 months is fabulous! We are renting points for a 2BR at AKV Kidani in Feb for $9.25 which will be $400 more than 2 standards at POR - we really wanted to see what DVC is like. Hopefully we won't like it too much or we may have to buy.:rotfl:
