Recently returned from our 1st XMas trip to WDW. This was the best trip ever. We had a great vacation. We had nice dinners every night and tried 3 different behind the sceen tours. DH liked the Behing the Steamtrains Tour the best.
We stayed at the Beach Club for the 1st time. All the CM's were very friendly and helpfull. We had room 1565. It is a corner room with 1 window facing the lagoon and Boardwalk and the other window facing the volleyball court with the lagoon in the background. Was a little hesitant about a ground floor room, but it had a patio door out to the volleyball court with a table and 3 chains and it was in a very quiet corner of the hotel. When you leave your room, you can go straight out the door to the volleyball court and walkway to EPCOT. The view was beautiful.
Crowds were not bad at all. The 1st 4 days we had no lines at all. When the media started arriving on the property, it got a little more crowded, but the longest line we had was about 15 minutes.
Did anyone else notice that some of the media people were very full of their own self-importance?
We did see Michael Eisner at the Yacht Club. We were waiting on the Space Shuttle launch from the Pier and he came out to see the launch. Some people had their pictures taken with him, but mostly he was on his cell phone.
Thats about all. For anyone going in the near future, relax and enjoy.
