Back last night, Highs & Lows

Hi all, got back from our day trip late last night. Thought I would go with the traditional Highs & Lows:

Highs:
~Friendly & polite CM's (everyone I came across)
~The delicious pastry I had in Salon Mickey
~Weather, it stayed dry & relatively warm the whole day till we were leaving
~Parking in the Village car park (as mentioned by others) its closer & cheaper
~The special effects are all working on Big Thunder Mountain (just like the old days)
~The parks & toilets were looking good, lots of work still happening, I reckon it will look amazing come April onwards
~The character bus (they are using Main Street vehicles now to drive the characters instead of the express (which is probably having an overhaul)) using the Dancin a Catchy Rhythm tune from the parade back in the 90's
~Our meal at Restaurant Des Stars, well worth the money, more choice then before & it was all delicious.
~Practically walk on for every ride I wanted to go on
~Got the wall clock I wanted back in the Summer

Lows:
Can't really think of any except not getting any sleep the night before we went as we had a really early sailing of 3.20

Lacking in nice Pin badges, I used to be able t find loads but none stand out now, hope they bring some 20th Anniversary ones out later

Had an amazing time for what was my 20th trip. Can't wait to go back later & see all the 20th Anniversary stuff

Sounds like you picked the perfect time to go! Glad it was fun. Very exciting to hear that they've given BTM a bit of lovel re effects etc. Most important questions: ARE THE SWINGING POSSUMS BACK IN ACTION?? Love those guys

Have the reinstalled the minecart that runs towards you when you're going up the hill through the mine with all the explosion noises etc?

This is all making me very excited for my May/June trip

Excellent, on our 1st trip my daughter bought one of those battery operated spinning toys that played this tune. Never thought I'd say it, but after hearing it over, and over, and over.....I actually missed it when when they stopped playing it during the parade!

It is my favourite song from any Disney parade. Just hearing it sends shivers down my spine with happy memories.

I remember buying the CD of it when I was there years ago, still have it and even put it on my iPod for when I fancy a bit of Disney magic!

Can't remember about the possums. The minecart wasn't working but it could be eventually seeing as they have the bit of the beginning of that tunnel with the explosion & the smoke/light effects

Didn't watch the parade, it was just starting as we were leaving for the Village, not fussed really as I have seen it several times over the 5 years & I can't wait to see what the new parade & music for the 20th anniversary
