Back in planning mode: only 17 months to go

Visited my parents over the weekend and mentioned the possibility of them visiting Florida one day. Much to my surprise they said they would love to go with us, so after a bit of discussion we agreed that we would go in August 2004. So, I'm back in planning mode. Don't you just love that feeling! They've visited DLP with us once before, but everything that Orlando has to offer will probably knock their socks off.

Jane and I will buy annual passes, so it looks like we'll visit at the end of August 2004, and the beginning of August 2005. I hope that Mission: Space is open by then

Anyone want to start a "who's going in August 2004" thread...

I know, I know, the pressure is on! But that's not all. During that 17 months we also have to fit in a visit to Disneyland and at least one visit to Disneyland Paris. I'm not sure my nerves (or my credit card) will be able to stand the pace

That's great, Rob! I'm sure your parents will be suitably 'wowed' by WDW.

Did someone mention a roll call for 2004? We fly to Miami on 31st March, intend to wend our way to WDW via the Keys and the Gulf Coast, finishing in Vero Beach and back to Miami for the flight home. Only the flights have been booked so far, but you can tell I'm already starting to plan the rest of it?!

I can't wait for the brochures to come out so I can book it for next year - we are absolutely hooked now. this year is our 3rd time there so next will be our 4th. we always go in May/June though as the crowds are lighter and the weather a little better as August is going into Typhoon season.
I've no doubt that as long as I can afford to go we shall make it a yearly thing even if we don't always go to the parks (although we have so far).

Hi all,

We have already booked for next year, yipeeeee! we are going back.

We booked last Saturday with Travel City Direct, flying on the 2nd October 2004, from Gatwick, for 14 nights, staying at the 4*Renaissance Worldgate Resort on the 192, a year and a half of waiting and planning, LOL, i sure hope this year goes by very fast LOL.

Anyone else booked up so far in advance as this.

I also would have booked with travel city direct over a month ago for end july begining of august 2004 but I want three weeks (wifes 40 th) but was told they had not released the 3 week flights yet .
How does that work then ?
you have inspired me to try again today.
The flights go quickly and the sooner you book youre flights the sooner you can start planning youre itinery.

Yes, but only petite soupcon!

I guess we'll book DIY rather than package, so I'll be on the look out for flight or flydrive from early summer. Then I'll look for a villa, preferably one with two master bedrooms and bathrooms. Recommendations welcome...
