OK - I'm not really a scrapbooker. I like photos - in frames, in albums, etc. I just got back from DLR having done Photo Pass +. I've ordered a print here and there before - or a digital download - but never the whole CD. I would love input from the people who use this more often.

Now that all my PP cards have been entered (and my pics from my own camera uploaded). What do I do? I see I can add borders/edit/etc. Is there a method to get the most out of this? Anyone able to share a few tips?

Thanks. :goodvibes

Crazy question but did you see many PP out in DL to take pictures, compared to WDW? Thinking about doing this but know nothing really about DL and the differences.

Thanks

I saw PP photogs EVERYWHERE at DCA and a lot less at DL itself. Not sure if it was an off day when we were at DL as I've heard other reports of them throughout DL and with each character. For instance there has been 1 with Pooh everyone other time I have gone to meet him - and on this trip, there wasn't. I've never done PP at WDW before (but am trying it in September) so I am not sure how this compares. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Add as many borders as you can to each picture (pick the ones you like). There is allegedly a limit of 3 borders per picture but when I did the WDW one, it let me add 5+ borders per picture (sometimes it's hard to decide).

Save each border as a copy and that's it :)

Once done, order. I had 2000+ pictures for WDW (started out with 400+) and it came on 7 CDs. Course the last CD only had 10 pics.

Edit, add borders, save in different sizes (I think the default is cropped to a 4x6, but you can also save as a 5x7), make them Black & White or Sepia tone, really it is limitless. You have 30 days to do this from the time you upload them, before you have to order the CD. Once you are done with your editing, add the CD to your shopping basket and it'll show up with your discount and you will owe nothing (unless you order other things too). They ship it to you within a few days. There's no limit on the number of pics you can have. As PP stated if they don't fit on one or 2 CDs, they just send however many you'll need to fit all the pics.

If you edit to 5 x 7, some portions of the picture may be cropped out.

Ooh, I totally forgot about making black & white pics. Ah well...

Just to confirm - can you add pictures from your own camera to the CD as well?

Yes you can.It will be your personnal archive but there is an additional charge of 19.95 or close to it.You can add the borders to your own pictures as well. Those pictures will come on seperate CD's and be marked as personnal

Make sure to save your favorite photos in a larger size. I normally don't print anything but the 4X6 size but last year after Christmas Superstore had a great deal on 5X7's and 8X10's.

I had a few really great photos of my niece at the BBB photo studio that I had printed in the larger size. They are so cute. I love seeing the one I gave my mom sitting on her table.

I try and get at least one of every border (some just don't work-Just Married, etc.) so I have a nice collection. I know some of the ones I had the first year or two at WDW are not offered anymore.

Thanks! I'm having fun playing with the options. I know once I order the CD, I lose the ability to add borders, but once I have the CD, can I choose to print B&W or a different size then. Should I only worry about cropping/B&W on those I'm adding borders to?

Thanks!

I saved to different sizes too last time, and I'm not sure what difference it makes unless that makes for a better image when it is the "right" size. I did it just in case. When I got the cd I printed out some of them in 4x6 just to have a "hard copy". I put several in frames and I used a good family one for our Christmas card that year. You can also have them be your desktop pictures too.

Any photo with a border should be saved in the size you plan on printing it in.

Not sure about ones without the border, they might turn out okay. I didn't take any chances so I saved them in larger sizes.

If you choose to print them in black & white after it should be fine. What I did was take one photo and change it to black & white and then add a border. Then when it prints the photo is in black & white and the border pops with color.

I like that idea! That will look great with those bright flowers (I have girls). :)
