Just back from a fantastic three weeks in Orlando where we celebrated DH big 50 along with the last time we will holiday with all our offspring. We made some fantastic memories and some of the tips I picked up here certainly helped (even though we have been many times before there is always something someone else passes on that is useful). Some highs and lows
HIGHS
Flights with Virgin from Manchester were excellent despite saying last time I would not book Virgin again.
Hard Rock Hotel was amazing as was the FOL passes
Wizzarding World of Harry Potter was a definite highlight
Blue Man Group was an experience I will not forget
SeaWorld Summer Nights was worth seeing again as usual even if it was our first night there and all we wanted to do was go to bed
Old Key West and the Disney Dining Plan were certainly winners but I never want to eat again - I need a life time membership to weight watchers now lol We had no bad food experiences although it could be said some were better than others. The bus service from OKW was super we never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus.
Disney Cast members were superb in making my DH birthday special just with the little things they did like the extra special photo's on the photopass.
Best memory however was watching two photopass photographers on main street just before the 3pm parade photographing a little girl who had obviously been really sick, they really went to town with the photographs getting a very large Mickey from the Emporium to photograph her with, there was not a dry eye on main street that afternoon and they got a large aplause when then had finished it was very special to see.
LOWS
My Sister was taken very ill just as we flew out and the news from home was very worrying the whole time we were away but I was kept well informed and could have come home at any time should the need have arisen however I did feel very guilty enjoying myself whilst she was so ill and my niece was struggling with the little ones. I am making up for it now I am home however!
Took three attempts to see Fantasmic, first time it went bang and all the lights went out after a couple of minutes, the next night it was cancelled due to the weather but the third night it went ahead and was worth the wait to see - my favourite night time show.
Thank you again for all the advice and tips from here it is good to have such a wealth of knowledge to make our trips so enjoyable.
