We got back this morning and are trying our best to stay awake.

We've had an amazing two weeks in wdw, I love reading ppls post trip highs and lows so here's mine.

We stayed in Coronado Springs resort and loved it. Our room was in Casitas 5, it was next to the bus stop 2 which is the first pick up and drop off for the resort and near to a smaller pool which was great. We ate at cafe fix and the pepper market a few times and it was only a 5min walk from our room.

We had dinning plan again this trip and tried lots of new places. We particularly enjoyed Yachtsman's steakhouse and via Napoli and having the extra of a resort mug this time was great.
One thing that was noticeable this time round though was the pace of the TS meals was a lot quicker than I remember. My bf was asked for his dessert choice before I had even finished eating my main at two places.. Which did bug me a bit.
But we found the resort restaurants to be a lot better.

The biggest highs of the trip..

Watching wishes from the smaller Poly beach after a meal at ohana's. We grabbed some cocktails and a swing chair about 9pm thinking it would get busy there but it turned out we pretty much had the beach to ourselves.
And then... My bf proposed! It was lovely and I was so surprised! It was also Mk EHM that evening so we then went in to the park until 1am with most rides only having a 5min wait.

Star Wars Weekend! Loved the parade and the hyperspace hoopla, there was a great atmosphere and it was really fun.

Fantasmic package, we booked Mama Melrose but I had read so many mixed reviews about the food, servers and the seats for the show I was a bit worried how it would be. Turned at to be one if our favourite meals and the seats were right in the middle section. Would def do this again.

Watching celebrate the magic followed by wishes in the park. I really loved this show its a great addition.

Lows...

Coming home!! :-( so sad to be back esp as it won't be a long time until we return.

Overall I was really impressed with going in May, weather has been brilliant, we had a few showers at the beginning of the second week but we didn't let it stop play and it didn't last long.
Crowds wise it was really good, apart from the 24hours in Mk which was manic. The resort def a lot busier since Friday but I guess that's because of Memorial Day.

Congratulations on your engagement:banana:

Sounds like you had a fab time. I watched the 24 hours live stream from MK and must say it did indeed look manic.

At least you have brought the sunshine back with you:thumbsup2, its been cold and wet.

Welcome back and congratulations on your engagement!!! We renewed our wedding vows on Luau beach at the Poly last year with a Disney FairyTale Wedding and it was incredible! Glad you had a great time!

So glad you had a great time :goodvibes
We go in August and wishes is my favourite part! Can I ask do you have to be staying as a WDW guest to watch wishes from poly beach or can anyone do that??

Sx

Thanks all :-)

Ahh lovely, I think I may have to have a look into a disney/Florida weddings, we fancy a wedding somewhere sunny.

I'd totally recommend it. It will depend on the size of your guest list as to how expensive it is, but the wedding section on here is really good. If I'm honest, even the most expensive packages are probably cheaper than most weddings in the UK.

Ours cost me (I did it as a surprise for my DW) around $4500. The ceremony was on Luau Beach, our reception was held on the patio at Fantasmic! and our meal was served during the show in a exclusive area. We had probably the cheapest option, but $15,000 - $20,000 is about the norm for 20 guests. The beauty is you get your Disneymoon all rolled into one! :thumbsup2

You can access the beach without having being a guest as its all open access

Congratulations, what a lovely romantic gesture

We did the Wishes dessert party and while we enjoyed it we both said that watching the fireworks from the Poly beach with a Dole Whip on our last night was much better.

Congratulations on your engagement ........ what a fantastic way to make the most magical of holidays even better :lovestruc

We're thinking ..... well ok I'm thinking :rotfl: that I love to do a 20 year vow renewal which would be 2015 ... we'll see :confused3

We had our wedding also at Disney we had 18 people and it only cost £3000 for the package which included limo cake wedding pavilion photo package flowers!
So it really isn't that much to get married at Disney, ours was a disaster and Disney fairy tale weddings and Thomson/first choice really let us down!! Due to lack of communication between them both an ended with Disney cancelling our wedding a week before hand due to first choice not putting in the paper work and Disney not bothering to check even though they had our money!
That said if you went directly through Disney like we are this time with our renewal the weddings can be perfect! :)

Congratulations on your engagement! I also highly recommend a Disney wedding. I can't see signatures on my app but I have a feeling I used to have a link to my Planning Journal in mine. If its still there, please (if you want) take a look at how we planned our wedding :D
