Poll coming obviously....

Which statement most resembles how you feel about a man with back hair?

EDIT: And what would you want a man to do about it if he had it and wanted to be with you?

I don't care for it, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me-not if I was in love. I probably wouldn't choose someone who had it for a one-night stand though! :teeth: And, I would never push my significant other to go through the painful process of waxing it off. I mean, I wouldn't want a guy to force that on me either.

I say "eh, what can ya do?"

I probably shouldn't post this here, because he'd be pretty mad, but my DH started getting a little bit of back hair when he turned 30 and it really upsets him. It's only getting worse as he gets older and it depresses him to no end. I've offered to help him with it -- shave or wax it off -- but he says no and just stays depressed about it.

But the amount he has isn't bad at all. It does kind of gross me out to see a man with big bushy curls all over his back to the point where it's sticking up past a collar. I'm not normally superficial about looks, but that kind of bothers me.

Looking at the poll, guess PD wouldn't be getting very many dates. ;)

I don't like it but it would not be a deal breaker.

Deal breaker. I don't like a lot of chest hair either.

I dated a guy who had a pretty good pelt back there. I didn't love it or anything, but it really wasn't someething that bothered me too much.

I DID however wax it off of him after we broke up. I have no idea why he let me do that, but it was very theraputic for me.

Does anyone else think we're starting to get obsessed with hair removal? I think we may soon be like the ancient Egyptians, who were in favor of removing ALL body hair and wearing wigs on their heads.

I dont like it at all but it wouldnt be a deal breaker. Luckily DH doesnt have any...yet! Hopefully it will stay that way!

I voted "eh, what can you do". I really don't see the big deal. I like a hairy chest, it makes me feel safe and I find it tres sexy. Back hair, I can take or leave. But, people, please remember....most guys with back hair are very sensitive about it. Just like you wouldn't walk up to a very obese person and say, "Wow, you are so fat, I am repulsed." you shouldn't make those kind of comments about our hairy-backed brothers. Know what I mean ;)

I'm surprised at the number of pollsters who say it's a dealbreaker! Seriously, would you really dump the love of your life if he started developing back hair??? Or would you not go out with someone because of it?

I guess I am the only one who finds hairy men very sexy.

I think it's icky.
When I met my husband he had not a hair on his back..but now it's a different story.
I Nair it off for the summer because he hates it and I think it looks terrible, but it's really not a big deal, other than the fact that I get good teasing mileage out of it.
"Do you want me to brush your hair? Okay take off your shirt. " That kind of thing. LOL
(No there is not enough to really brush!)

I really don't like back hair. If it's a little bit it's fine, but too much I don't like.

I couldn't resist voting "popdaddy sexy!", however the reality is I kind of like it. I like a hairy guy. My dh is not very hairy at all and it didn't matter to me.

Exactly - how I feel too :)

Depends what his front looks like. My husband doesn't have a hairy back. He only had 3 chest hairs when I met him. Now a bit more. He has kind of a hairy beer belly that he always tells me to rub for luck. I really like smooth hairy arms and legs (not the curly kind). Ok, was that TMI? :rotfl: If he saw this, he would tan my hide. :teeth:

It's not something I specifically look for in a guy, but it is not a dealbreaker either. It's just hair. :confused3

My first husband had some random back hairs, he would have me Nair it off for him. Never really bothered me.

I'm pretty turned off by body & facial hair, but I don't think it would be a deal breaker. For his own reasons, DH gets his 20 or so back hairs waxed. He often works in a swimsuit though, so I probably would too. If he ever sees this post my hide will also be tanned. :rotfl:
