It was great!
Before the trip, I had Emailed Amy Jacobsen about having a Pal Mickey & autograph book in the room on arrival. She got back to me immediately and we set that up. She also wanted to know the names of the other guests, DD and my DM. On arrival, found Pal & A.Book plus a pen, autographed character photos for each of us and box of chocolats. Amy also called the next morning to make sure everything was there and to see how we liked the room.
The room was very nice. In room #5179 which looks right out at the dock and lighthouse. Basically same as BWI where we had stayed before. Mousekeeping was fine. Got towel animals only one day but that's fine. The turndown lady (unfortunately I didn't get her name) was very nice and left lots of chocolates for us. The only complaint about the room was the hairdryer. It's a box type thing with a hose. Bring your own!
Lounge offerings have been pretty much discussed on these boards. They do have beer that you can ask for and large bottles of water to ask for too. It was really great coming in from the parks about 3-4pm, so hot and sticky and grabbing a cold drink and snacks. Deserts were very good.
Theresa and Betty were very nice. Travis was really good to us. I had decided to collect resort pins from the resorts we had stayed at. The resort I could not find was the YC! Even in the YC gift shop and the parks. I mentioned it to Travis and he was on the computer and phone right away. We had to leave and when we returned a couple of hours later, Travis had a card for me. A signed character (Donald #1) picture and stuck in it was a YC pin. He said he had to call his friend Donald in the Magic Kingdom and Donald sent it over. It was really a nice thing to do.
Storm along Bay was nice. NO crowds. Checked resort keys 2 or the three times we used it but then only needed one key not one key per person.
After coming home 9/8, got an E mail from Amy checking to make sure we got home safe, etc.
It was just a wonderful treat and I really liked the Yacht Club. Didn't seem as frantic as BC. Don't know if I can aford to do this again for the entire trip but will consider a moderate or even value for a few days to justify a few nights on Concierge!
If any other questions, let me know and will try to answer
