Back from Wonderland:wAlice,Madhatter,ChesCat&White Rabbit 11/11Thank You

Very very cool! I may have to show the K&E's these pics and see what they think. On paper it looked like a lot but it's great to hear you thought it was a good value for what they got and that they really enjoyed it.

I was worried they were too old so was just going to do MSB for the E's but may just have to rethink that!

They look adorable!

Great update! And- OMG...I totally want to do Pirates League myself! :rotfl: It seems like a lot of fun.

Patricia, out of curiosity, were you able to book the Pirates League online or did you have to call to make that ressie? (Can you see my wheels turning already?)

thanks for sharing but not spoilng about the PL....it looks even more awesome now to read about someone doing it....

I'd love to have my kids pirated out next yr! Mae is more Princess thru and thru so I know we'll do the BBB for her and her b-day next yr...but I am torn about Margaret and Aldine....

Margaret she is my little princess and want her to be all cute and precious for her hopeful meal in Cinderella's castle next yr and her b-day but she is more Piratey than Princess sometimes ;) and I think she would be equally cute as a Pirate too....hmmmm will I have to spurge and do both :confused3

and then Aldine...I don't know how many more Princess years/trips are left....lots to ponder come next yr!

Can't wait for the Wave review!

J-

That pirate's league looks awesome. The shop alone looks fantastic. The kids came out great.

The Wave...it'll be interesting to hear what you think of this restaurant. My cousins will be eating there in Feb.

The Pirates League looks great...so nice that have a different option rather than just BBB. The kids looks awesoome and like they had a good time. Can't wait to hear about the Wave...may have to include that next time.

I am glad that you are back! Sorry about the computer trouble, but better the computer got sick than you!

What a wonderful update. I think the great thing about the Pirates League is that siblings can do it together because it is equally for boys and girls! :thumbsup2 It sounds like a lot of fun, but I am sorry that Rabbit did not really like his pirate type. He does look a bit scary, but in a cartoonish way. I guess that's what the CM went for.

I really love that PoC song as well. I was a bit sad that it did not feature more in the first PoC film. But since I really loved the film, I was not too dissappointed. I have it on my Ipod and it is one of those instant good mood songs for me!

I will be interested to hear your opinion about the Wave. It seems like you got to eat at all the places where I thought nodnol and I would eat at, but which we eliminated in the end, because we found them a bit too boring. Ok, we ended up with all those signature places, so without them, we would still have the Wave, Sanaa and Kona (did you eat there?) on our list... :goodvibes

Well the good news is that I'm going to get to Dis a bit today...:woohoo: but the bad news is that my pirates are both home sick today...:sad2:

Rabbit was vaccinated about 2 weeks ago at his annual checkup for both the regular and H1 flu...and since he isn't running a temp I'm hoping that he just has an ugly cold-he's lost his voice a bit...

Alice on the other hand (sigh) just got the H1 at school last Thursday and hasn't had the regular flu vaccine yet. (Their pediatrician is doing a flu clinic beginning later this week....:confused3) She has a fever, headache and a dry cough...:sad2:

Hatter and I have had the regular flu vaccine but not the H1...

If Alice has to have the flu-which I hope she doesn't-:sad2:I hope it is the "regular" and not the H1 since Hatter and I have no protection against that and someone needs to be able to take care of everyone...

Plus I want them to be ok for Halloween and all the fun stuff happening at their schools this week...

Anyhow I'm hoping to update and get the Wave and Pirates Cruise up later today/tonight...I am chomping to begin my PTR and I need some ideas for titles...(I need something that focuses on the October trip to WDW to celebrate Alice's 16th and our March daytrip to DLP with the side trip to Paris of course...:lmao:

Celebrating Alices's 16th at WL and a side trip to DLP...

Back to Wonderland with a side of French Fries...

Through the Looking Glass to the WL after meeting Ratatouille...

These are all painfully bad...:lmao: I think I'm getting sick because even at my worst I can usually pull out something better than that...:sad2:

Oh dear...I need to think about it---any ideas are welcome...

Oh my goodness!!! Rabbit and Alice look so awesome as pirates! (We are so doing that next summer!)

They will love it...It is perfect...Chelsea can be a sassy pretty pirate and Connor can choose his perfect look-YOU will have the best time...so much fun...:thumbsup2

Ooh! Love the pirate pic!

Thanks-:goodvibesThey were cute...Rabbit was being a good sport-he'd have been happier with a little less makeup...:lmao:

Rabbit looks a bit doubtful in that picture but I think they both look awesome!

Anita-I am not kidding when I say it took me 10 washing/ cleanings that night to get RAbbit's makeup off (including makeup wipes)...and he still had a black rimmed thing going on with his eyes that I let go till the next morning because 1. he had had enough and 2. I was kind of cute in a Capt Jack way...

If I had been the parent assigned to Rabbit I would have told the CM to go lighter on his makeup...I think he would have still looked good and would have been more comfortable...

Ohhhhh, I love this! I can't wait to show this to Baylor and see if he's interested. A couple of years ago when we went for the P&P party it would have been perfect. Now I'm fear that he may think he's too old.....
Did you make it out of the park without getting rained on?

WE did make it out of the park and on to the monorail before the rain...:thumbsup2...

Baylor could have a lot of fun with it...there are some very PoC looks that you can do also-and I think the CMs are also flexible...It was a really fun thing to do before the Pirates Cruise (I also think that Baylor and his dad could do it-as a Son/Dad bonding experience...;)) I read somewhere about a Grandfather, Dad and Son all doing it...I thought that was kind of cute...;)

I :lovestruc this, too! The kids just look great as pirates, and everything just looks so fun and pirate-y! Like I said before, Chelsea and Connor will so be doing this next summer! :goodvibes

Well I think that C & C will have a great time...so will you...poking around at all Capt Jack's stuff ...lol...(I thought about doing it myself...)

I think this might also be fun thing on an all girl's trip...hmm...LL and Jen-are you listening...;) The photos would be fabulous...:goodvibes

I love this one!!

Back to Wonderland with a side of French Fries...

It made me snort laugh. You can't get a funnier title than that. :rotfl2:

Very cool! The room, the make-up, the oaths - all of it.

I was walking from Grand Floridian to Poly this summer and happened to see a boatload of noisy pirate children out in the water. They were having a big old time from the sound of it! :)

Hey MeMom...Welcome over...:welcome:...I've been lurking on your TR---just go in late...hoping I can get in early the next time...:goodvibes

It really is a magical/fun/escapist experience...I think that its great for boys and girls and their parents and grandparents too...:thumbsup2

It sounds like you saw the kids Pirate's Cruise that leaves from the GF-I think I 'm going to have to see if Rabbit would like to do it next time...sadly Alice is now too old...:confused3

So cool! And I love how the older kids can do it, too!

Denise

Older kids like moms and dads too...:lmao: When we were there I was talking to one of the CMs who said they had a lot of adult bookings for Halloween...

So happy to hear such a great review! I'm pretty sure we are going to try this with my boys in June and I think I may even get in on the action too. I love the details you give without giving too much away:goodvibes

Don't want to give too much away...it spoils the surprise...;) You should do it with the boys...part of me wishes I had done it too...I would do it in the future...;)

Oh my! Pirate League looks and sounds soooo cool!! I'm glad your kids had a good time!!! They look super cool!

Don't you just love the innovative ways disney comes up with to part you with you hard earned money?! When I took DD to BBB for the first time I spent a fortune!! She got the whole shabang costume and all. Of course, she wanted the deluxe Cinderella dress which cost extra :rolleyes1

I don't think anyone is as good as parting you from your money with a smile as Disney...:lmao:

Oh I can believe your wallet was significantly lighter when you left BBB-I have a lot of princess stuff here that was much loved...(they never want the "basic" dress because when they see the deluxe...:confused3

Oh Pirates League looks like so much fun! pirate:

I am so excited to hear about the Pirate Cruise!!:banana::banana:

OOOH the Pirates league looks like a lot of fun for kids!!! Your kids looked like great pirates!! YAY!!! I'm very much looking forward to your review of the Pirates and Pals cruise!! I'm really looking forward to this in January and can't wait to hear all about it from you!!

I am writing up the Cruise today and keeping you ladies in mind...:lmao:;)

You know I think that you two would make some pretty darned cute/sassy pirates...I'm thinkin you might need to pop by the Pirate's League...just sayin...:rolleyes1

Well the good news is that I'm going to get to Dis a bit today...:woohoo: but the bad news is that my pirates are both home sick today...:sad2:

I think this might also be fun thing on an all girl's trip...hmm...LL and Jen-are you listening...;) The photos would be fabulous...:goodvibes

Ok I do like

Wonderland with a side of Fries....

So sorry the kids are sick! Lucky that you get the H1 at school, ours isn't even here yet. I hope they are both feeling better and back at it tomorrow, nothing worse than being sick on a Holiday.

I don't know about your kids but I do know 3 out of 4 of ours have been exposed already (and haven't gotten it) so that is a weird measure of comfort to me.

Looking forward to the update. Pirates league would be a riot as an all adult female event!

Hey Cynthia,

It is really very cool-all of the detailing-I had a blast just being there with them...

At the end of the day while I thought that $49 is not inexpensive...for Disney and the quality of the experience and the take aways-photos-etc I personally felt it was worth it...I don't know if I'd buy the costumes-It takes the price way up and I don't think they have as many choices as say the BBB-my kids were fine with just "piratey" t shirts we brought with us..

The Es would love it and I think that K would like it too because basically the teenage girls all wind up looking sassy (code for "hawt" which I don't like to use to describe my underage daughter and friends but basically there you are-you have one-so you know what I mean...I think sassy sounds sweeter...)

Great update! And- OMG...I totally want to do Pirates League myself! :rotfl: It seems like a lot of fun.

April-do it in January....:cool1:...you will look great...so much fun...I wish I could do it with you...:thumbsup2

Patricia, out of curiosity, were you able to book the Pirates League online or did you have to call to make that ressie? (Can you see my wheels turning already?)

When we did it-it had just been open for a couple of weeks...we reserved it on phone a couple of months ahead...so I'm not sure if you can go do it online...or not...:confused3...sorry CP...some people do walk ups but if you have your heart set on it- I know you will reserve like the good OCD Diser that you are-and I mean that affectionately...:lmao:...takes one to know one...;)

thanks for sharing but not spoilng about the PL....it looks even more awesome now to read about someone doing it....

J-

The princess years are really precious and fleeting so if you have yourself a princess than I say go with that first ....the pirate years are much longer...in fact for some people they never end...:lmao:

Having said that-I saw a couple of little girls getting done as pirates-the make up job is very similiar to BBB-it's just edgier...

I know I've seen some girl pirate costumes-that are really quite cute/pretty-they just aren't as frilly/pink...etc...

So having said that...I think both experiences are great...and see what they think...there's no reason why you couldn't have them do different stuff...

although I do agree there is less time to be a princess than a pirate-:lmao: oh gosh I's sorry I don't know if that helped at all...:confused3

Wave coming up-have you in mind...

That pirate's league looks awesome. The shop alone looks fantastic. The kids came out great.

The Wave...it'll be interesting to hear what you think of this restaurant. My cousins will be eating there in Feb.

Hey Jordy:wave2:...Pirate's League is good stuff...you should check it out...;)

The Wave...hmmm....:scratchin...I'm interested to see what I write about this myself---next up...

Oh, I do hope your two babies feel better soon, and you stay healthy!!!

I like the side of French Fries title -- that's adorable!

The Pirates League looks great...so nice that have a different option rather than just BBB. The kids looks awesoome and like they had a good time. Can't wait to hear about the Wave...may have to include that next time.

I agree it is really nice that there is an option to BBB and let's face it-some girls don't want to be princesses-they'd rather be pirates...less restrictions...more adventure and whatnot...:thumbsup2

I am glad that you are back! Sorry about the computer trouble, but better the computer got sick than you!

I think the great thing about the Pirates League is that siblings can do it together because it is equally for boys and girls! :thumbsup2 It sounds like a lot of fun, but I am sorry that Rabbit did not really like his pirate type. I was so sad without my laptop Floss...:confused3...what did people do before them...wait I was alive then...:lmao:...we managed because we didn't know any better...:lmao:

It was fun...Rabbit's make up was way too thick for him...he'd have been fine with a slightly scruffy look...he really wanted to be Mr. Smee not Captain Hook...he actually liked the experience he just actually thought the makeup was a bit much...well his actual comment was "I'm never wearing face makeup again...it is very uncomfortable..." I wish I had been over there with him because I would have intervened...he'd have gotten a much lighter effect but obviously Hatter is not familiar with the different things you can do with makeup...I can live with that...;)

I've seen your list of ADRs and I wouldn't change any of them for the Wave...;)

I love this one!!

Back to Wonderland with a side of French Fries...

It made me snort laugh. You can't get a funnier title than that. :rotfl2:

hmmm...I was kidding but I'll admit it is funny...does it say everything I need to say?...

Ok I do like

Wonderland with a side of Fries....

So sorry the kids are sick! Lucky that you get the H1 at school, ours isn't even here yet. I hope they are both feeling better and back at it tomorrow, nothing worse than being sick on a Holiday.

Another vote for WwaSide of French Fries...hmmm maybe I should actually consider it...;)

Well I think that Rabbit will be heading back tommorrow...Alice is going to need at least another day...I'm hoping that it doesn't get worse...:rolleyes2

PL would be sooo much fun as an all female adult event...add some drinks at the lounge at the Wave and the Pirate's Cruise-it would be a night to remember for sure...lol....

Sassy sounds MUCH sweeter! And yes, she would get into it though more so if she had a friend with her. Her Halloween costume this year is the bomb, I cannot wait to post pictures! I'm definitely keeping it on the radar...

Awww I'm so sorry to hear the kiddos are not feeling to well!! Please give them my get well wishes!!!!

I have to agree I also love the Title Back to Wonderland with a Side of Fries...too funny!!! LOVE IT!!

Can't wait to hear about the cruise!!
