Back from Wonderland:wAlice,Madhatter,ChesCat&White Rabbit 11/11Thank You

I love relaxing Disney Days. So peaceful, so relaxing, just what you need after days of park touring!

I really can't wait to hear about your pirate cruise! pirate:

I love relaxing Disney Days too...sometimes it's just what the dr. ordered...:goodvibes

I know someone has a pirate's cruise coming up around the corner...it was a blast...I'll try to write it up as thoroughly as possible...:surfweb:

I so enjoyed reading about your impressions of Kidani and Sanaa! One of these days I would like to eat there -- especially if you can see giraffes from the windows. ;)

Bring on the Pirates' League -- that is something I am planning on having the kids do next summer.

Jackie-you would love Sanaa-you have to go...and the giraffes are awesome...

Kidani was fabulous...and so is Jambo House...I think they both carry the African theming really well...Jambo is just busier and has more access to food then the other...but if you really want to feel aways from it all...I could see Kidani being the way to go...:goodvibes

How wonderful about the CL! And the view upgrade too. I would love to have CL for our trip and would be over the moon with an upgrade but like you I wouldn't pay for it, I'd put that money elsewhere.

Do they offer the photoshoots at all the deluxes now? I think I'd like to do one if they do....were you happy with the shots?

Great Sanaa review, that's a non negotiable for me, hopefully everyone else will be ok with that!

Hey Cynthia...yes it was a very magical surprise when we checked in...:cool1:...We booked pool view...we had it before and were very happy with it...but it was nice to wake up to the savanna...:goodvibes...I probably wouldn't book it though due to the $ but for some people it is worth the difference to have that view-I think the pool view is pretty though too...CL was an awesome luxury but I don't think I'd pay for that either because I don't think we ate/would eat there enought to justify the expense...:confused3

I know they do the photoshoots at AKL, WL, GF, BC...hmmm...that's all I know for sure...:confused3 but they may do others...Happy with the shots...not happy with my weight...but again that's my fault not the photographers...

Sanaa = :cloud9:

Oh how you tease me with that Photopass session. Just 3 pictures. What's a photopass addict to do?;) Were you happy with the session?
Kidani and Saana look great! It's in our plans to stay there in Jan 2011. I can't wait and definitely will try Saana. Great review:goodvibes

I know about your photopass addiction...:lmao: I'm going to post more at the end...what happened was I only had the 25 images so I only put in a few but then I wound up having to split the post anyway because I wound up over 25...If I have known I would have put in some more...:confused3

I think you'll enjoy Kidani and Sanaa-it will be a totally different experience for you from the Beach Club...

Hope your appointment went well, Patricia!

OOOO - Good thoughts coming your way. Hope the appointment went well and also hoping you had a nice anniversary weekend.

We also wandered over to Kidani and DH liked it better than Jambo, but I'm still in the Jambo camp. ;) And thanks for the review of Sanna..I'm not a fan of Indian food at all, but DH really wants to try it sometime. I see me trying to keep putting it off though. :rotfl: I do want to try the bar sometime as that looked nice and relaxing.

Great update! Sanaa looks awesome & I love the portraits you had done at AKL.
I am SO scared of dentists, too. I hope your appointment went well.

Hope the dentist went well!!
Love the photo shoot pics. My favorite out of the ones you posted is the family tiered up the stairs, with Rabbit at the bottom barely peaking up over the railing. Too cute. You should deffinitely consider sharing more of those photoshoot pics with us, though :thumbsup2 I agree that three was just too much of a teaser.
I have not spent very much time around AKL or, obviously, the new DVC locations. It looks like such a lovely area, though. I love the idea of being able to watch the animals as you dine. How nice. And the food looked very yummy. The bread sampler especially caught my eye with the chutneys. I'm such a bread addict, though.

I love the pics from your photo shoot, and your lunch looked really good!

Hope you made out OK at your dental appointment.

Denise

I hope you made to out of the dentist's office in one piece. I don't like going either and used to have nightmares about my old dental hygienist, I changed and now go to a much gentler person...
Still not my favorite thing to do.

For dessert-I had a chai creme-which kind of tasted like Christmas is a glass.

What a lovely description :goodvibes Great update! Looking forward to more of your photoshoot. Hope everything went well at your dentist.

I'm glad to hear that things look like they are heading in the right direction for Ariana......Definitely check out the Dis store...let us know if you buy anything...

We didn't buy anything, but she loved looking at everything and Santa has definately been given some wonderful ideas!

That would be a rough situation for anyone yet alone someone on the Spectrum......That is not ideal for her at all...I hope you can get them to rectify that...

We've compromised that she no longer gets pulled from her classroom.... when her EA is away, her teacher takes over. The best scenario for her actually, she gets valuable one-on-one time.

Can't wait to hear about the pirate's cruise. popcorn::

How did the dentist go? I hope everything is alright! I'm a dental wimp too. I didn't go for a very long time, and when I finally did again they were making small chat with me-they asked Henry's middle name and I completely BLANKED! I was shaking. Since then I have been very diligent about my appointments, so far no cavities-I want to keep it that way!!

Onto the TR...what a lovely afternoon around the lodges! I completely fell in love with Kidani when we visited. It truly does feel cozy and homey there! I think my in-laws are going to love it just as much. And now I'm wishing for a Saana lunch, yum!!!

Since it was our anniversary weekend trip...we'll definitely reschedule it...hmm...if I time it right...since we were heading towards DC... we may be able to see a Christmas Carol in Ford's Theatre-which could be cool...to make up for missing our "National Treasure" tour at Mt. Vernon...(they only do the National Treasure tour (based on stuff from the movie) through October since its outside) hmmm seeing A Christmas Carol at Ford's Theatre could be kinda cool though...

Bless your stalwart spirit...all of you...that have a PTR running beside your TR...I don't know if I could keep up...but then again the Disforce isn't as strong with me yet...I haven't been seriously Dising till this past summer...many of you much longer than that...The Dis Force probably grows stronger...:lmao: Goodness knows I've been bitten by the Dis bug addiction...(And I am dying...:hyper: to begin a PTR...but I'm going to finish this first...maybe...cause I should...hmmm....:rolleyes1...

I'm just beginning my third...I think its the third cup of coffee for the day...I thought of you yesterday when I was in Starbucks because David wanted to knew the chemical formula for caffeine...(we started a whole discussion on why grownups like coffee and caffeine...and one thing lead to another...nuff said...) and I remembered that you either did or almost bought one of those mugs that have the formula for caffeine on it...would have come in handy here last night...:lmao:

I can't hardly keep up with my PTR. It's bad. I have updates, I just haven't gotten over there! This is my first attempt at doing both, and I'm failing.

Keep us updated on what the decision is for the anniversary weekend! I like your idea!!

I have almost bought that caffeine mug several times...I should stick it on my Christmas list for this year!!

Ok I have read through page 23 - still trying to catch up but had to reply.

I need to be part of the 'never been to LeCellier' club.

wigdout recommended this tr to me. I have a 9 yr old with asp and ADHD. It does make life interesting,

Can't wait to read more!

ok up to page 31

my son loves the water too. At dw whenever it got to be too much for him we headed to a water area - Kali Rapids, Water fountains at Epcot, splash areas and always an hour or 2 in the pool.

We use Upward sports for our son. He can't do indoor sports due to noise sensitivities but the soccer and flag football are great. Not overly competitive, much more a learning environment and everyone plays equally. You can look up leagues in your area at Upward.org

Also I would love to have any book titles that have been helpful in working with asp/aut spectrum. One DVD I would recommend is F.A.T. City. Our library and school district has it - eye opening!

Goin back to read more!

Ok just one more post since I am completely up to date now
I just have to say I love the photopass cd and so know how you felt when it arrived. I was just waiting for this picture

and this one
Image049.jpg

yes mine too is very into Star Wars and the DISgner shirt and sign got him picked to be in jedi training as well - I still tear up when I see these pics. He really thinks he battled DV LOL I am not telling him anything different.

I just started reading your TR yesterday. I've seen you over at LL's and CP's TRs. I read all the way through day 1 and I am really enjoying it. I love how each installment is so full of life! I could easily read your whole TR, and never have to look at a picture, because you writing describes things so perfectly.

Your family is lovely and your daughter is beautiful. I bet she DID get a lot of boy attention at the pool. I really enjoyed your description of Jiko, since I am thinking about it as a possible ADR for May. I can't wait to read about Sanaa, because that is another possibility for me. I'm curious how they compare.

Anyway - excellent TR. I will be back to catch up soon!

Great update Patricia!! Sorry I'm a few days late!!!

I LOVE your photo shoot pictures!! I want to see more!! I love our pictures from our photo shoot in January! I keep having this thought to do it again in January and see if I can have add my sisters family in! But they probably wouldn't let me do that. I'd probably have to pay twice!!

Your day sounds so lovely and relaxing!! Your Sanaa review was wonderful! We'll definitely have try it at some point!

BTW, I love that you described your Chai as "Christmas in a glass!' :lovestruc

Patricia once again you provided such a treat in your trip report update!!! I loved being able to spend the afternoon with your family at AKL and then Sanaa. I have to agree with you Sanaa was amazing and I would absolutely return!!

Loved the family pictures at WL!! Those are some keepers...your whole family just relaxed and happy!!!

I hope your trip to the dentist went well!!! I can't wait to hear more from ya!!!

:hug::hug::hug: Hope the dentist appointment won't be too bad!!

Thanks Floss-I won't lie-I could definitely find a more pleasant way to spend an hour and a half-however the Periodontist was awesome...The practice is made up of two woman and not only are they professional but they are really warm and their office is designed in a really warm, comforting way-so honestly it went about as well as it could of...I'm not a big fan of Vicodin however-don't like the way it makes me feel...

Oh, how I would love to own a little piece of Kidani...:rolleyes1

Pixie dust for your dentist appointment today! :wizard:

You know Jackie-I could have sworn I saw a chair with your name on it-when we were meandering around Kindani...;)...

Thanks for the pixie dust......I think all those good wishes definitely helped...:thumbsup2

Hope your appointment went well, Patricia!

Thanks Elin!...:thumbsup2

sending you some pixiedust: to help you get through the appointment.

Thanks Cynthia...:goodvibes

OOOO - Good thoughts coming your way. Hope the appointment went well and also hoping you had a nice anniversary weekend.

We also wandered over to Kidani and DH liked it better than Jambo, but I'm still in the Jambo camp. ;) And thanks for the review of Sanna..I'm not a fan of Indian food at all, but DH really wants to try it sometime. I see me trying to keep putting it off though. :rotfl: I do want to try the bar sometime as that looked nice and relaxing.

Thanks for the good wishes...

I am on the fence now over which I like better...Jambo or Kidani...I was sure before hand that I would like Jambo much more than Kidani...but I could really see kicking back at Kidani...I still think for the lobby and sentimental reasons Jambo wins out...but its close...

Oh try Sanaa sometime...you can definitely find something that is "Indian Lite"...it's interesting a lot of people who don't like Indian food have an issue with cilantro...I love it-but if you don't---it can be a deal breaker...:confused3
