We stayed 4 nights in Concierge and stayed the first 3 nights in the Regular courtyard view room. We loved the WL, the lobby, the smell just everything. We had a very bad first day, our flight was pushed from 6: 30 to 10:30 on Northwest, then we landed they lost all of our luggage. The castmembers did everything they could to help us, giving us toothbrush, toothpase, extra shampoo and conditioner etc. We thought that for our last four night we would upgrade to concierge.

With our new room keys, we went up there , they told us at the front desk that will will be greeted when we went up there. We went up and they didn't even look our way, we tried to find our room but the castmember at the front desk forgot to writedown our room number. We went to ask them, and they just simply told us our room number, rather rudely. We settle into our room and went to the fromt desk and ask them if they had extra info on the conciegre level. They threw this card at us, which stated the different time of the food offering. We were just so suprised on their level of rudeness. There was only one friendly cast member up there and I think that his name was Jack.

We asked for them to make PS for us at 1900 Park Fare, they told us that they didn't have any available time, they then told us we should go to Oliiva 's at Key West. We told them no we went to go to 1900 , beside to go to Key West we would have to go to Downtown Disney and then transfer to keywest. They told us that we were being difficult that we should just go to Oliva. Well we had enough of that and went down to the front desk and ask them to make PS reseveration for us and they found a available time.

We also went to Fulton Crabhouse during our second last day there, when you buy a $100 gift card then you get a bonus of $25 dollar gift certicate. Well the gift certicate wouldn't be vaild until January. We decide to give it to one of the cast member at the front desk, the ones that we dealt with, well we couldn't find anythem. My sister was tired so she said lets just go to the room, for some reason, she decided to give this gift certicate to one of the concierge staff, this is to my utter suprise. She gave it to them, they took it with a smile but not even a word to thanks us. My sister and I just look at each other and she realize it was her fault anyways for giving it to them. She said to me oh well its Christmas.

I will never do concierge at WL again it was just not worth it. It will be a long while until we go to Disney World again, and that is why we decide to upgrade to concierge. Knowing the amount I paid for concierge and for their lack of service and incrediable rudeness then I would have stayed at the GF my dream resort for about the same amount. I love the WL just not the conciege staff:(

I am so sorry that happened to you!:(

It unfortunately seems like it wasn't one isolated incident - maybe they were bummed out about having to work over Christmas, but....there really is no excuse.

I am glad you were still able to see the good side of the resort itself and am glad to hear that the rest of the staff was accomodating.

I'm sorry to hear this.:(

Did you ask to speak to a manager regarding the rude behavior. The CM's obviously weren't doing their jobs if you were able to go down to the lobby and secure a PS.

Did you enjoy the food offerings?

I would love to hear more details about your trip. Food, turndown service, the view from your room, etc.

Thanks.

We stayed last October and are staying again in May.

Yes, there were things they could have done better. They did not call before our trip for any pre-planning.

It upsets me to hear about rude cast members. It just shouldn't happen. It's Disney.

Was the concierge level particularly crowded during your stay?

If you do go back to Disney, I hope you give another concierge level a try-like AKL.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. We stayed at WL this year for the first time, however not in concierge. We found the CM's not up to the level of service we are use to. I'm talking from the moment we drove up to check in until check-out. The CM who checked us in never looked into my face, never smiled, not until she asked for the money. When we drove up to check in we had to wait for someone in valet to help us although we were the only ones there...it wasn't a good experience for us.

We probably won't stay there again. I know others love the resort and find it to be top-rate, but we were quite disappointed. However, the resort is beautiful and we loved walking to Fort Wilderness. We also didn't like the small, dark rooms. I will have to admit though that it might be the most beautifully themed resort at WDW...it's a shame!

I found thiss very iron as out stay in October was wonderful, a much better experience than our previous stay at Poly concierge

So sorry you encountered rude CM's. Have you thought about writing an email to complain? It is such a shame to spend that kind of money to be disappointed.:(

Oh and also I have heard about other concierge being busy, the good thing was that WL concierge was not busy at all. The main lobby was always busy, was almost like a shopping mall

Care to explain?
