I just flew back from Florida yesterday after a great vacation.:) I got to go on the Dolphins in Depth course at Epcot which was a dream come true and I got to see dolphins in the wild which is even better in some ways.

There were no early-entry mornings because of the decrease in the number of visitors and some attractions were closed, but apart from that (and the security checks at the park entrances) things were more or less the same as usual.

Feel free to ask any questions about the trip.

:)

Same here :(

Its so dissapointing to walk out the airport and see rain

I was adding up everything I've spent just now, and I've somehow managed to spend $145 just on pins  Gaaaaah, how did I do that? They seem so small and innocent, you can never buy just one

I am sooooo jet lagged at the moment, I'm not sure how I'm going to manage college tomorrow.

I had such a great trip though, stand by for photos in a few weeks, and a trip report in a few months (I'm slow, alright? :D)

Anyway, 2 weeks away from the DIS has left me with a lot of catching up to do, so if you'll excuse me, I'm off to increase my post count by approximately 135.
 :D

Welcome Back!
Suzi, I have to agree with you about the pins, you cannot buy just one. :D

Did either of you meet any DIS'ers?

Can't wait to hear more about your trips! :bounce:

well it sounds like you both had great trips!! :)

so hwo were the crowds...were yall affecting by the closing of PO-FQ???

I might have met some DISers . I saw a girl in a red T-shirt at the Magic Kingdom on the 19th with a big lime green ribbon, but couldn't speak to her because I had to save my parade spot. Was that anyone here? I think I also saw Safari Steve, but he was sailing off, and I was short on time. :(

I didn't even know PO-FQ had closed until I got back. I really hope it reopens, I'd love to stay there one day.

The crowds were fairly average, I never had to queue more than half an hour for anything. Everyone I met though kept talking about how empty the parks are, and that most days even the E-tickets are walk ons. I guess I went on all the wrong days :(

What was Dolphins in Depth like Rhian? I went to Discovery Cove, and it would be interesting to see how the 2 compare.

:D

Disney Daniel-I didn't see any DISers but I was wearing my lime green ribbon tied to my bag. However, our family met up with two others from the DIS UK boards for an Illuminations Cruise which was fantastic.

PigSoldier-the Dolphins in Depth was just too amazing to put into words.:) I've wanted to do it for so long and when I actually got into the water with Toby and Bob (the dolphins! )I just couldn't believe it. One of the ladies in my group was crying because it was so overwhelming. It was defintely the highlight of all of my trips to WDW.
I chose the Dolphins in Depth program because 1. You don't swim/go in deep water-I'm not very confident in deep water and 2. I got to learn alot about dolphins before the interaction e.g. the anatomy, how they interact with each other, echolocation, how we can conserve their habitats etc. This was probably the main reason because I'm very interested in them on the whole. The CM's and Trainers were really friendly and helpful and the facilities were excellent. I got a t-shirt, an information booklet and a video of my experience. But of course the best bit was getting to meet Toby and Bob. It was an unforgettable experience and I'd certainly reccommend it to others. I wanted to stay with the dolphins all day! :)

How was Discovery Cove?

I know you're not going to like this TestTrack, but I didn't think much of ToD. I thought it was trying too hard to be dramatic, but then, maybe giant puppets just aren't my thing. I prefer parades where Aladdin blows kisses to you (hehe).

Discovery Cove was great, we swam with a mother and daughter, called Jenny and Coral. It was soo brilliant, I got to go in the deep water with them, and even got a ride on Jenny's fin. The good thing about DC was that there are loads of other things to do, like snorkeling in a coral reef and swimming with rays.

I got my photos back today!! (Only half though, I don't know why  ). As soon as I can be bothered to work my scanner, I'll post them here. :D
