Have been back for a week and a half and boy! do I miss WDW already.

From my list of snacks to try, I only got in three but they were really good.

Dole Whip - They ARE good! In Mk at the Aloha stand in Adventureland. It was raining cats and dogs but we made it to the stand and finally got the dole whip. Even my DH who doesn't like pineapple fought me for this tasty treat.

Kaki Gori - YUM YUM. Really a tasty break from the heat. In Japan right by the blue pagoda. You might have to circle that thing to find it. Worth looking for.

Beaver Tail! - I really liked it but it is messy! Got the maple and chocolate one and it ran everywhere. They are very generous with their toppings. Also more than enough for two people. I couldn't finish mine.

A little known treat - POCKY! This is in the department store in Japan. They are chocolate- (and other flavors too) covered cookie like sticks. Really good. Had to fight off DS and DH! There's another one like it called Yum Yum (I think). It's a sesame stick with chocolate sauce cup to dip them in. Go Japan!

Also discovered white chocolate-covered pretzels shaped like Mickeys. There are also candy covered ones and dark chocolate ones. Warning! Addictive.

So that's what I discovered in just three days at WDW. And I haven't even scratched the surface!;)

What is a kaki gori?

A beaver tail is a pastry shaped like a beaver tail with different toppings on it. Ironically enough, even though I am Canadian, I haven't had one!

Kaki Gori is a snow cone with delicious fruit syrup poured over it. I can't remember what all the flavors were but my DH got either watermelon or cherry.

The beaver tail is flat pastry with a sugary topping. Good but grab some napkins.

Will have to try the Kaki Gori. Have walked up to the stand several times but couldn't stay away from the Kirin Ichiban. Maybe I'll split one w/DW.

A family favorite here. No trip is complete without a visit to the Aloha Terrace. There is no ice cream, frozen yogurt, water ice, snow cone, etc. that quite compares to Dole Whip.

Actually, Kaki Gori is shaved ice, different from a snow cone. I love the texture of shaved ice! Tried my first one this trip, went back twice! OK, has anyone tried the chocolate/vanilla pretzels at Boardwalk Bakery? I was just picking up stuff for breakfast, but boy, did those look good! Diana

You're right - it was different from a snow cone! A whole lot better. Shaved ice is the way to go.

Jimmalru80 - what is the Kirin Ichiband? Is that the name of the department store? or have I missed some other treat? I really loved Japan!

jaletu2000,

Kirin Ichiban is beer.

In the store, in Japan, is a snack called Wasabi Peas my dh stocks up on them when we go.

I love Wasabi peas. I have been able to find them all over the place now. YOu can buy them at "Harry and David's" I've also seen them at some of the fancier food sections at the grocery.

LOL - didn't even think about beer! My dad would probably love that! Have to try those wasabi peas next time.

Dole Whips are the BEST! No trip to WDW is complete without one! Pineapple is soooo refreshing!

Kaki Gori flavors (when I was there) were Strawberry, Tangerine and Melon. You can get the flavors individually or a rainbow striped cone with all three.

My fav way to eat Dole Whip is the Pineapple/Vanilla swirl!

Beaver Tails, YUM YUM. After reading so much about them here on the boards, last summer, we decided to try it. My dd had one with strawberrys & I had one covered with chocolate. The thing was huge. Big enough to share with 3 people. Hers was delecious, but mine was out of this world. I'll be having one again, next week. Can't wait.

Everything you tried sounds wonderful - I've gained six pounds reading your reviews!!!!
