Hi All,
Well spent six nights at VWL and found it absolutely wonderful! - It was the 1st WDW vacation with our newly adopted 6y/o DS who at times found all the sensory stimulation overwhelming - but did enjoy many aspects of the World.
Arrived at VWL at 11:30am and our villa was ready - #4548 - 1bdrm - not the greatest view could look down and see what I believe was the dumpsters - however on the nights that MVMCP were on we so fireworks - not a perfect view but we saw alot of them! Now we own at VWL and OKW and I don't want to receive hate mail about this - but the 1bdrm at OKW is enormous compared to VWL - that said the theming at VWL is perfection!!!! - it is done so well that its a reality check when we took the boat to MK and right around the pines seconds away was the Contemporary! - VWL felt secluded quiet unique!
We did an Illuminations cruise and WOW if you can get one/share one DO IT!!! What a spectacular view! I have seen Illuminations 6 times from the world showcase but nothing compares to the cruise - now I see why its so popular!
We ate at Chef Mickeys one night prior to going to MVMCP and met some fellow disers - however due to our late arrival and DS anxiousness secondary to all the new sights and surroundings we did not get to socialize as much as I had hoped we could have - Well there is always next year

MVMCP - well what can I say - it was the icing on the cake to a wonderful day - I love the Christmas parade and all the shows and extras! We rode our favorite rides many times and enjoyed the heightened yuletide feel of the park!
We of course did MGM and the OFSOL our DD held our DS hand and pointed out as many Mickeys as she could see! After we saw the lights and bought a couple of gifts and as we were heading to exit the park it began to pour! Then I realized - although I am relatively a newbie to WDW - in our 6 trips there this was the 1st time it really rained! OK Lights at MGM cannot be capatured in any media - nothing does them justice - not pictures, video or written description - you need to see them to truly apprecaite them!
Fantasmic - I love this show!!
We did the dinner buffet at the GF and found it fair - I miss the CP at MK and can't wait to go in June - But the GF resort itself is magnificent! the lobby tree is the prettiest I have ever seen! and the GINGERBREAD HOUSE - WOW!
We also ate at LeCelliers - Epcot - Canada - and my filet mignon special of the house - mushroom something or other - was DELICIOUS! my husband's prime rib was excellent and he is fussy - DD had a grilled cheese and DS had chicken strips everyone of us ate 100% - and since this was the night of our Illum. Cruise - we had dessert at Beaches and Cream - each had a sundea and all enjoyed them!
I could go on forever but it seems I already have!
Will be happy to answer any questions
Can't wait to go bak for our 8 night June 2003 vacation which while at VWL switched to BCV! - I want to try them all!
