Arrived home last night. Vero Beach was wonderful. We had a ocean veiw studio 4th floor room 2410. We couldn't have gotten a better veiw. We would sit on the balcony in the morning and drink our coffee and just people watch. We were their to celebrate dsis 50th BD. She got completly spoiled. 1st she recieved a towel BD cake and card from Gary in housekeeping and a BD hug
. Then when we went to the front desk to inquire about H/C beach cottages she received a stuffed donald and another card from Max and Goofy. We went to shutters for dinner and she received a piece of BD cake and all the staff sang happy birthday to her and she received received a magical moments certificate with a congratulations on being 50 and a BD pin to wear. At Sonya's the next night she received another piece of BD cake. We were so impressed with VB we almost cancled our BWV ressie to stay at Vero. They do have cabana's and they are a nice size and will hold 2 beach chairs nicely. They don't have a h/c beach cottage but in building 12 they have a room set up to equal the cottage. What they have is a 2br and a studio that is all connected to each other. I was told that it is more points than a cottage and when I figured it up it should have been less. If I booked this room and was charged more points to stay there I would complain to MS as I don't feel I should pay more points because they can't provide a h/c cottage. I think possibly the cm was mistaken. Found the grocery store and target no problem. Nice Super Walmart in Sebastin. Everyone was extremly friendly. Dsis and I never ate off property as we really enjoyed shutters and Sonya's.
BWV-- The day before arriving at BWV I called to see if my waitlist for a Boardwalk Veiw(studio) had come through(had a pool/garden view) and was told no it didn't. I inquired about a 1br boardwalk view as before all days weren't available and they had one so I switched from the studio to a 1br. We has room 2041 and every night the performers would be right out front. They would start about 7p and i'm not sure how late they were out the first 2 nights as we were at Jelly Rolls. The last night they were performing until about 10p. Again a great view. The last night we watched Epcot fireworks from the balcony. We had 2 balconies and they were large but had the full wall. We were ok with this as we like to sit around in pj's at night and didn't need to shut the curtains. I tried the Boardwalk Bakery for the first time. Tried muffins and a cinnamon loaf and all were very good. Room service was fast and also very good. We had steaks from room service the last night along with key lime pie and a mimosa. Dsis received baloons and a bd card from BWV. We went to 1900 Park Fare and she received a crown and very cute BD place mat along with the cake I ordered. At 50's primetime she received a card that was passed around to the other tables and signed by all her cousins and then when she ordered her hot fudge sundae it came out with a candle. At MGM we went to wwtbam and we were pulled out of line when the cm noticed her bd button and this got us in the very front for seating. We took pictures of ourselves sitting behind the monitors and when our family asked how we got to sit there we told them because we are soooo smart and they needed us for the pretty factor
. Not sure if they believed us
. We had a great time at Jelly Rolls. We wore our shirt's with the jelly rolls image that Julie&Nicks mom has on her sight. This got a lot of attention and I thought a couple of times we may lose our shirts
. Dsis got a little smashed that first night and almost didn't make it up the steps at the BWV, by the next night we had found out about using the elevator by coming in through the exercise area. After struggling up the steps we got the giggles so I aplogize if we woke anyone on Friday night actually early Saturday
. This was a very nice vacation, for the most part we did nothing but lay around at vero and shop and go to Jelly Rolls at night. I'm still sure I left out a lot so if you have any questions feel free to ask and i'll do my best to answer. Susan
PS, Just wanted to add that Vero Beach has by far the nicest CM's anywhere.
BWV would be a pretty close 2nd.
